Came here on a friend’s recommendation. I guess it’s really his nostalgia, coz I didn’t feel the same way at all. The atmosphere was indeed nice and unique, with a lot of history, but the space was small and got very cramped quickly as a line of a dozen or more was formed even before the door opened at noon. The burger itself was so-so, nothing spectacular at all, though the potato salad was surprisingly good. Been there, tried that, not again.
One of the best places we stopped in boston. The folks were first class. Locals were very helpful also. I'm glad we got there before they shut down for vacation. Hope you enjoy your time off. Was an honor to eat here. Thanks from indiana
Eating history is always cool. And to back it up with legit burgers is even better. Simple cheeseburger on white, toasted bread, chips, and a soda. Be prepared to know how to order, know that you are going to wait, and know that you might get a seat or you might need to take it to-go. If you can't figure that out, go elsewhere. But if you can, it is totally worth it. Simple and delicious!
