After watching “Best Bite in Town - New Haven” on MAX, had to try it. Had 6 different empanadas…all great. They have so many choices. Hazel the owner is a sweetheart.
We held our content creation happy hour at Madeline’s. The atmosphere, the food, bevs and service are exactly what we needed. Professional. Positive. Thorough. We had a great experience working with the venue and will definitely book with them again.

Just tried this place for the first time today. Many different tasty empanadas, amazing sweet potato fries and fresh orange juice. Great music and atmosphere to hang and chill. Will recommend and come again!

Just tried this place for the first time after seeing a New Haven Independent article highlighting it, and now I wish I knew that Madeline's has already been open for over a year now! My spouse and I got six different empananada flavor, which we found were all adventurous and complex. And the accompanying mayo-ketchup was the best we have had. Also appreciated the accommodating service! I called in for takeout with only a half hour before closing for the afternoon, and they squeezed my order in at the buzzer.I look forward to ordering out from here again!

The food is delicious. Whatever came out of this kitchen was yummy. The place is understaffed so naturally the service was slow. At night the place is also a bit too dark. Defo order out.

Been here a couple times and it's amazing. Every empanada style I have tried is excellent. Definitely recommend!Edit 1 year later: Look, the empanadas are AMAZING! I have taken multiple people here and graced them with these heavenly empanadas. My grandma's empanadas would barely compete (and she makes really great empanadas, as grandmas do). But lately, the service has been sorta iffy. Maybe it's because I'm dining in instead of ordering ahead for takeout. Also, couple times I've been there recently, they are out of stock on several items. I love this place and I'll keep preaching the gospel of Madeline's, but I may just stick to takeout from now on.
