Staff was very friendly. Didn't get the picture and frame that I paid for. Started to feel rushed towards the end of my dinner. Overall it was a decent experience

Great food. The wife and I ate for almost 3 hours. 5 courses. Including appetizer, (cheese fondue with bread and pretzel nread, broccoli, peppers, grapes and apple slices), a salad, (a hot pot with shrimp, chicken, steak, filet and lobster tail), then had a chocolate fondue with cheese cake macaroons, and cream puffs, and Brownie and cookie piece, strawberry slices and banana slices, and a few other sweets to dip in the chocolate fondue

Best melting pot location that I've been to. Nice, clean place. Staff was attentive and pleasant. Food is always pretty decent.

The Melting Pot always delivers and we had another amazing meal! We decided on creating our own dinner course and it was delicious! Our server, Nicholas, was fantastic, friendly and professional. We were also greeted by two other folks we had the pleasure of working with on previous visits; very cool! Thanks so much for a memorable evening!

Ate here when it first opened a year and a half ago. The food was very good and service was excellent. Unfortunately, not the same experience this time. The cheese fondue was delicious but there wasn't enough cheese and we were left with bread, etc. on our plate. They would not serve anymore cheese without charging us. The meats were tough and not very good. Very disappointing and expensive for not that good.

Had an 8:45pm reservation, showed up at 8:25pm and told to wait 15-20 minutes, didn't end up being sat a table until almost 9:30pm. Orders were taken right away but 11:45pm we still didn't have our desert course and needed to leave to celebrate the new year. I know this a new location for the melting pot and hasn't been open for even a year but the exceptionally slow service and being there for almost 3 and a half hours without eating every course is just absurd. I went to the Darien location many times over a 15 year period and never had this experience, albeit not on New Years Eve but it just felt as though they weren't prepared. I even over heard two servers talking about another server that left in the middle of their shift because “they couldn't take it anymore.”

For Starters I have NEVER left Review about ANYTHING in my Life.....Until now. I Selected one of the New Years Eve Packages (Platinum) we had the Three Roses in a Melting Pot Vase when we were seated, but Never received the Picture With Picture Frame. Not a big deal but the biggest issue I had with the night, though he was very Nice and Polite, our Waiter was a Ghost as well as forgetful. Never explained Cook times for each food. Actually had to ask another tables Waitress for Her advice cooking wise. But ours just came across very clueless and seemed like it was his first day even though he said he had been working there for Four Months. End of the night with the Tip $356, in my Opinion with the experience, food, and the “Melting Pot Fame” was worth maybe $175-$200 at most for Two people. The Darien Melting Pot characteristics, Service, and Vibe CRUSHED the “New” New Haven location. No offense, just not happy at all.

I've never had a bad meal at a Melting Pot and I've been going since the 80's! Everything we had was SO delicious! Our waitress was excellent and everyone at the restaurant was very friendly. Yum!! Great price for the 4 course meal that you get.

This is our fifth trip to a Melting Pot but our first at this location. We arrived in the early afternoon on a Sunday and the location was mostly empty, but there had been snow that morning. With three of us, we had both burners to select two options for each course. For the cheese course, we chose the Alpine and the Fiesta. The breads, fruits and vegetables were all very fresh and the cheese fondue was very flavorful, the fiesta a little spicy but not too much so. My wife liked the California salad but my son did not. The Caesar had small parmesan encrusted pine nuts that added a sweet, crunchy texture that I thought was a great addition to the typical Caesar. My son and I got a mixture of steaks, shrimp and chicken while my wife chose a selection of seafood. The Mojo style was very light with mild citrus flavors and cooks quickly. The traditional oil with batter and panko are definitely on the heavy side. All of the ingredients tasted fresh and we well seasoned. We finished with the Dark & Dulce and the Original chocolates for dessert. The Dark was the better of the two with a richer taste for the fruit, brownies, and waffles. The Lemon Berry Mojito was delicious with a strong berry and mild hint of mint while the Sparkling Lemondrop wasn't as tart as expected and was fairly mild but not unpleasant. The waiter was very attentive given the crowd size. The courses were delivered leisurely. We were there for over two hours but we were not in a rush and enjoyed the experience. My biggest complaint was the low seating in the booth, and I am average height. The high tops did not look much better but the tables looked like the best option. It's not an inexpensive meal but definitely a nice outing for a special occasion.

If you are searching for a unique dining experience where everyone is present and phones are only used to figure out cooking times, look no further. The food is great, wait staff are delightful, and the location is convenient. Highly recommend!

We have been waiting for this type of cuisine to come to New Haven and it did not disappoint!! Best ever!! Staff was amazing and so attentive since you have to do some of your own cooking .... Food was great and can't wait to go back!!

It has been a while since we have been to a Melting Pot - this experience restored my faith in the restaurant. Every aspect of the experience was positive. The food was great, the portions are just the right size - this is the biggest area that I feel they have improved generally - and the service from the server was consistently attentive. All the staff seem to work well as there were several points that other team members brought drinks, cleared plates and checked on us. Kudos to the team at the restaurant - doing something right which is great to see and we as a family look forward to visiting again soon.
