Wonderful food. Well-prepared. Typical atmosphere for this type of restaurant. But the best part was the Pancho Villa cocktail—a must-have (and I learned it was also the favorite of the bartender)—made with mezcal, chili liquor, their homemade tamarind syrup and more, with chili salt on the rim and chili powder swirl stick. All of our meals were excellent, with good flavors.

Started with chips and salsa and a margarita. Chips are made fresh. Salsa had a good flavor but a little spicy for some of our party. The meals are good portion size and come with beans and rice. We felt that they were all a little bland. Several people in the restaurant ordered Ceviche which looked amazing and we will try if we come back. The staff was very friendly and offered good service. Street parking. Casual fun atmosphere.

Had a double dinner date here recently, the restaurant was selected by the other party all we knew is that it was Mexican food and we both love that. It's a little restaurant, has a lot of character, the drinks are strong and the food was 90% a hit. I would return again yes.

Mezcal had been on our place to go list. I expected quality authentic Mexican and a menu with creative selections. Our meals were outstanding. Authentic preparation and use of authentic ingredients separate Mezcal from the bland Mexican restaurant chains. We both had the Ceviche and Shrimp Diablo. Both were excellent. My only regret was that we were there for lunch- it was a large meal for mid day- dinner next time.

I came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch while in the area and after hearing how great the Mexican food was. We were able to find parking right on the street and didn't need to pay for a spot. The inside was colorful and had cool decorations on the tables as well as the wall. We were also seated immediately by someone and orders taken. They had some options on the menu that you don't see at a typical Mexican restaurant which was great as well as chips and salsa. The food came out in a reasonable time and the portions were pretty big as well. The enchiladas were good and the sauce they were in was flavorful. The mixiote verde pollo I felt needed a bit of salt and seasoning, same with the beans that came with both. But both were filling and enjoyable. It also took us a little bit to get our check and then had to flag the waiter down, but overall it was a nice visit. I recommend it for some good food and a nice atmosphere.

Food here is amazing. Mole and nachos especially but really everything. They are warm and friendly. Have been eating here for years, it's our family go-to.

My mango margarita was good and the atmosphere feels like Mexico but the food could be a lot better .

Great food. Great location. Beautiful murals inside and out. Authentic home style Mexican. Our server, Erik, was so helpful and welcoming. Good prices.
