They rebranded into a regular ice cream place where they just scoop it in front of you now. I remember when it first came here and there was the liquid nitrogen which made it really cool to get ice cream. The staff was nice and it was clean which was good but kinda disappointing they changed the brand.
The ice cream is delicious, the place is very nice and clean , and the service is excellent. I give it a 10 out of 10.
Lot of flavours and toppings to choose from. My favourite was double chocolate with bubble waffle there. Service was also good.
Love the chocolate ice cream with a waffle wrapped . Perfect dessert for a mind and soul to be so cool and relaxing…
This place is just painfully loud inside between the loud music and ice cream machines - you also can’t even pick your own toppings?
That blue flavour ice cream is addictive sooo good
I like there ice cream flavors but most of all the Cookie Monster ice cream is my favorite flavor good ice cream options and nice atmosphere
Absolutely delicious and the best texture of icecream ever.
So, I don't know why this place seems to have a slightly bad rap. The major complaint appears to be customer service. I personally did not have any issues with the customer service. The employee was professional and knew the product. Maybe folks wanted someone to sing and dance or perhaps fake an overtly friendly attitude. I don't need that. I don't need to find friends or be validated as a person by someone who probably doesn't get paid enough to deal with folks that want to be pampered 24/7 . Be professional. And the person I dealt with was definitely that.
As far as the reason I went to Milkcraft, the ice cream was delicious. I had the cookie butter and the flavor was phenomenal. Very creamy and fresh tasting. My daughter had cereal and milk flavored on a waffle cone. I tried it, and that too was amazing. You cannot go wrong with the way this ice cream tastes or is presented. I'd give this place a 4.5 if google let me. The only real issues are a few more flavors wouldn't hurt and I wish there was a parking lot because it is an issue to find a spot anywhere near there.
Bottom line go to an ice cream place to get ice cream. Not your ego stroked.

During a visit to New Haven this past weekend, we took a stroll down Crown Street because the weather was so amazing.
We stopped into milk craft because I noticed that it was handcrafted ice cream. I can’t have ice cream., but they advertised a strawberry sorbet on their menu, which wasn’t immediate YES for me….
They ended up not having the sorbet, but they did have a pineapple sorbet which was really good -
The service was substandard, not warm and friendly at all,
but my sorbet ,my husband‘s ice cream and my son‘s ice cream were rich, fresh and enjoyable.
We sat at the teal colored barstool facing Crown Street and watch the passer byers & enjoyed our treats
The substandard Service was the worst part of the experience - especially when you spend $26 on ice cream for three people
Vegetarian options: Limited selection of vegan options - I had the pineapple sorbet ( only one option)
Parking: We parked just steps from the ice cream shop and paid 1.50 to park for an hour

Went in Thursday September 19th 2024 with my 3 kids , workers were very nice and fast paced , portions were adequate, is a bit pricey in my opinion but overall was amazing and I will be returning

Milkcraft has really gone downhill. Every time I go they are out of all the flavors and the ice cream we have had was grainy and/or icy. Out of all the ice cream in New Haven this place is very low on my list of places to try.

I went to New Haven and Fairfield And they DON’T do the nitrogen ice cream anymore.
Get ice cream at the grocery store is exactly the same.
They can said they make it with the same process , but since it’s stored, it just doesn’t taste the same.
IS FREEZER ICE CREAM
