Olea is an outstanding restaurant. Its modern Spanish cuisine is creative as it combines ingredients in special ways and uses ingredients in innovative ways. The menu is spot on. The wine list is very good, emphasizing Spanish wines, but presenting a good selection of other terroirs as well. The service was outstanding. We thank Hugo for helping to make our evening perfect.
There is no better place in the New Haven area to dine. The owner/maitre d' knows you, the staff are the same and get to know you and the food is always superb. It's where discriminating people, especially Yale faculty choose to dine for a reason. I am there at least every few weeks and never think it gets old.
The food and service were both amazing. It was difficult enough to pick an entree, with all the options. Later we gave up choosing, and ordered 6 desserts for 5 of us. So glad. The pastry chef is a genius.
