The cafe had a very beautiful feel, the decor is eclectic. I expected something different based on the social media presence. Sadly, reality did not meet expectations. The desserts were mediocre. They looked and tasted like they were purchased from a wholesale supplier like Cisco. The presentation fell flat with sloppy plating with whip cream from a can. Carrot cake was oily, the pistachio cake lacked any real pistachio flavor the “green cream “ was icy and the chocolate cheesecake was dense and lacked the texture and taste of cheesecake. It was more a fudge texture. For the price of $11.00 each dessert the expectation is to be presented with great quality and equally attention paid to the plating. I really wanted to love this place as it reminded me of cafes in France but it was a one and done.

Super cute!!! Great vibes but we wanted to eat and it was really confusing. We had to go to the center of the shop to wait for a hostess to seat us then once we sat down we had to go back to the same place to order. I dunno!?!?? They wouldn't give us a real cup of water. We had to use tiny little water cups and refill them a billion times which isn't the end of the world. The shawarma wrap had pretty good flavor but was dry. The pecan bar was really good. I think if you go for a something baked and a drink it would probably be great. Don't think I'd go back for real food though.

Fabulous little gem in Westville (two miles west of downtown) a delightful little village with art galleries and restaurants. Pistachio has awesome decor and wonderful coffee. Next time will try one of their “Pistachio” lattes. Crème Brûle cheesecake was not as good as it looked as probably not recently baked. But would definitely recommend it Brunch/Lunch menu. I highly recommend and will be back!!

Everything is special in this place, starting with the decoration to their special lattes.
The rose toast is out of this world and it’s better than the waffle.
The salmon avocado toast was so good.
They have so many varieties in bakeries and sweets.

When we first moved to New Haven, we fell in love with Pistachio but lately, it has been such a rip off. I've managed coffee shops and can not comprehend how an 8oz drink and a coffee cake slice rings up to $15.

their cakes and coffee are delicious but there are no prices on the menu board. it’s also a strange choice to not list prices on the pastry displays, and the person behind the counter seemed annoyed that we wanted to know what things cost. when we asked how much for the cakes, they said “it depends on what you get.” which is true but that’s a crucial piece of information for a business to share with a customer.

they also have signage that says to see host before being seated, but no host is available to direct. we wanted to get coffee and pastries and sit for a few minutes but they didn’t ask whether we wanted to eat in or not and gave us our food in takeout containers.

if you can ignore the chaos and don’t mind the confusion, it’s a very nice space with pretty decorations.

Pistachio Café is an absolute gem in New Haven. I ordered a chai latte and it was outstanding, perfectly spiced, smooth, and easily one of the best I’ve had. The red velvet cake was phenomenal as well, incredibly fresh and rich.

The ambiance is perfect, with beautiful décor and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It was easy to chat comfortably with the person I was with, but I also noticed plenty of seating options for larger groups as well as individual spots ideal for studying or working. The layout is thoughtful and welcoming for any type of visit.

Customer service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and professional. Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be returning.

Short wait times for such a popular place was very unexpected, but beyond appreciated!

I’ve been going to Pistachio’s for some time. It is such a warm, comforting place to be. The food is exceptional and I sometimes struggle to decide which delicious latte to have. The morning baristas ( Ty and Ray) are very friendly and it is always such a nice experience to be there. I look forward to the days that I am in New Haven specifically to go to Pistachio. It is like a mini vacation for me!
