What a gem of a restaurant! The food was amazing, the staff is wonderful, and the artwork is beautiful. We got the sampler appetizer, all four of the dips were delicious. I had the citrus chicken soup. It was perfect. Definitely check out the artwork.

RAWA in New Haven is a hidden gem! The shrimp biryani bursts with rich spices, while the hummus, labneh, and avocado dip are fresh, creamy, and perfect with their fresh warm pita. Their sweetened iced hibiscus with lemon is a refreshing, flavorful complement to the meal. With great service and a cozy ambiance, RAWA is a must-visit!

One of the very best Middle Eastern restaurants in all of New Haven! Interior is spacious and well-organized. Portions are large, and the food is fabulous. Great wine selection too. This place is a Westville must. I can't wait to return! The rice and lamb kofta is my favorite.

The cuisine is a Mediterranean fusion with the popular dishes from various cultures. I love the Musakhan Pizza and must say that it was very well made. The sampler was an excellent combination. The hearth oven bread is different from your usual terrible and stiff pitta. Every item I ordered was flavorful and delicious. They can do better on the variety of tea and hot water for the tea.

The dips were wonderful. Never go for the chicken biryani.its not good. Service is slow, maybe because food is made from scratch. Lamb chops 🥩 were cooked to perfection. I would re visit
This is an outstanding restaurant. Food is excellent, prices are very reasonable, service is very good.
Vegetarian options: There are a few veg options and several seafood dishes as well.
Parking: There is a small free parking lot on the side of the building.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at RAWA with my family! Simply it was amazing! From the moment we walked in, the charming Mosaic art all over to the drinks and food! A must try!
Started with Hibiscus drink( must have) and perfect assortment of Hummus, baba ganoush and Labne! Each bite was bursting with authentic flavors and freshness! The fresh pita bread is what gives this a top notch experience as well!
I opted for Lamb chops, were tender, juicy and just right seasoning! Kids enjoyed the Zatar pizza and other pizza options!
Overall, can’t wait to return!

Left without initial service for 10-15 minutes. Then after we ordered it took 45 minutes to bring us falafel and lamb kebab.
Food was fine, but not worth the wait at all. Not really worth the price either.
