After seeing this restaurant recommended in Connecticut Magazine, we went on a quiet Monday night. We shared the mussels, their special fish and seafood dish, and a piece of Tres Leches cake. It was plenty of food, and all were wonderful. So was my Peruvian cocktail (PISCO) and my husband's Peruvian beer. The owners were very welcoming and attentive. Highly recommend.Parking: There is a lot around the back.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to the entrance. Tables are well spaced for access.

Food was excellent tasting, portions need more work.Parking: There are 3 parking spots in front and about 7 in the back but people live in the upper level of the establishment so I think the other cars in the back lot were tenants.

Recommended dishes: Three Milks Cake, Churrasco a Lo Pobre, Sarsa Criolla Salad, Tostones, Jalea Personal

I wanted to like this place- I only tried the lomo saltado so I can only speak for that. It was mostly rice and the meat was tough.

I had a really nice experience at Sabor Peru this past weekend. I was about to drop my friend off at Tweed, and we came across this place that was conveniently on the way to the airport. We had also both been wanting Peruvian food. Everyone was friendly when we walked in, and the decor was super cute. There were tasteful touches all over the restaurant that made for a cozy, family-friendly vibe. Before we ordered, our server brought over a snack for us that was similar to corn kernels. It was salty and delicious paired with the accompanying green sauce. For my meal, I ordered the chicken pesto spaghetti and my friend ordered the same, except with steak instead of chicken. We each loved our meals. The pasta tasted like it had just been freshly made, and the pesto was so creamy and delicious. The chicken was tender and afterwards I felt like I had such a great comfort meal. I was able to have the other half of my food for dinner the next evening. I would definitely love to come back and try some of their other dishes, like the ceviche.
