Delicious! Went on a lunch date and got the chicken bolgogi (spicy) and it was so good …a nice sweet and spicy combo, same with the beef bolgogi! I recommend the pan fried dumplings.10/10

Came here for a late lunch and had a great experience. The service was top-notch and the food was both fresh and authentic. If you’re looking for Korean food around the area, they’ve got a bit of everything here so it’s a great option.

Actually tasted good, but the portions WERE NOT dinner size... for $30+, about 1/2 to 2/3 of the kalbi I have gotten in other Korean restaurants, and probably 1/3 portions of bonchon...

One of our favorite places for Korean when we are in New Haven, but the owners seem to be slowing down a bit.

Best Korean food ever. Been going since I was a Yale student in 2000. The ajuma is the most thoughtful and sweetest. The food is so good and service impeccable.

The food is decent quality, but not the best we've had. It likely among the best in New Haven, though (limited choices) and IMHO better than going to a chain. We had the short rib kalbi, spicy pork bulgogi, rice cake appetizer and seafood pancake. As other diners mentioned, the portions are a bit small for the price. This is the major downside. They could increase the portions by 25% and this would not be a factor.Yes, it is weird that they keep the front door locked, but with just the husband and wife on staff and the wife in the kitchen 95% of the time, it is an understandable precaution. You are not rushed and can linger if you like.Parking: This was a highlight. Free, off-street parking in New Haven. Made it easy to get in and out.

Ring the bell for entry. Yes, it's odd, but likely due to security issues. While I wanted a larger portion of stew and more banchan (Korean side dishes), I found the served portion to be adequate especially since I'm in a hotel. Perhaps slightly sweeter than normal, which is generally the case for Korean food in America. Happy to support the very nice Korean couple. Will be back during the next visit to CT.

I have been here many times, With different people and each time I was very surprised at the treatment. Let's just say I noticed. And I noticed the treatment others received So Before Covid the food was great the portion size was a bit more now not so much. I have been told they had no more food when I came to the door and they of course had the door locked. So never again. They are not warm or welcome. But clearly to some they are.

Authentic Korean food that are true to the original form, no fancy variations to distract from he basic quality of the food. True family operation, very friendly and good service.

Ordered Soondubu Chige. The dish I received had crumbled dubu/tofu (instead of good-sized chunks) literally, a very poor amount of dubu/Tofu. Three kinds of kimchi: steamed broccoli with hot sauce (this is not kimchi/side dish); bean sprouts; cabbage kimchi. Forget the types of kimchi you see on their website - not in amount and not in kind. And the peak: when I asked for an extra dish (which is the norm in Korean restaurants), I was refused and asked to pay an extra $5. To conclude: The main dish was poor in size and quantity; the kimchi side dishes were of poor quality and insufficient amount. Avoid.
