Shell & Bones Oyster Bar & Grill

Everything was great! My wife and I brought our two kids (14 & 11) there yesterday evening and everyone enjoyed themselves. The oysters, shrimp, and clam chowder couldn’t have been more fresh. Kids enjoyed their lobsters and our steaks were cooked perfectly. Our youngest thought our server Adam looked like Tom Brady lol. All around perfect- thank you!

The drinks were good, the seafood was good as well. Was quite busy so service was mediocre. If you like the water and the weather cooperates, it's quite nice to sit outside along the water.

The food was delicious! It was a bit of a wait on the oysters due to multiple orders and possibly not enough staff to shuck. The waiter was attentive and kept us in the loop on the food order.

Food was ok. Atmosphere was great. Service was not good. Don’t know if it was because I wasn’t dressed like a member of the yacht club or what. Waitress barely spoke English and didn’t understand English. She was MIA most of the meal. The manager must have caught the angry look on my mother’s face because she came over & asked if we needed anything. We told her “the check”. Told her good luck finding our waitress!

Parking: Tight squeeze on the parking and everyone there had a large vehicle.

I heard a lot of great reviews about this place and decided to try it out while staying in the area. I love the location of the restaurant. It’s located in a beautiful spot right on the water. Huge parking lot for convenience. Ambience is perfect for a date night and the lights are nicely dimmed, which was very relaxing. Love the beats they were playing and the apps were on point. Bartender was very friendly and kept an eye on us for all our needs. Very chill environment and loved the option for outside seating. I’ll def. be back.

We came to try the supposedly delicious clam chowder. It was tasty, but hard to call it clam chowder because the bacon taste was so overpowering.

While the location is wonderful, the service fell short of expectations. We ordered a few items to share, and while they were generally good, they didn’t quite justify the quality and pricing one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber.

The mussels were enjoyable, but unfortunately, some were dead, which was disappointing. The fries were slightly undercooked, though they were well-seasoned. The oysters and bone marrow were good value, but the flavor was off, and a few of the oysters were not fully shucked.

Overall, the experience didn’t quite meet the standard we had hoped for.

The appetizers were flavorful and unique but the entrees were bland and overpriced. If I were to return to this restaurant, I wouldn't even bother ordering and entree. I don't mind paying for food that is well prepared but this doesn't cut it.
