Ordered a pulled chicken bowl through uber eats. Delivery time was great, however I took one bite and the food was cold, with the rice being extra stale. No thanks.

My go to lunch spot for a quick and fantastic healthy meal. Great being able to pick from a bunch of different ingredients and change up it regularly. Staff is always friendly and attentive.

Extremely disappointed. I contacted Somos at around 12:30 p.m. to place an order of 20 Empanadas to be ready at 5:15 p.m. I wanted to place the order over the phone but was told, by an employee, to instead place order online. So I did.

I contacted Somos again at around 3:30 p.m. because I wanted to change the pick up time to 5:30 p.m. but was told, by the same employee that I spoke with at 12:30 p.m., that they never received the online order. Strange because the charge was already taken out of my bank account.

I asked to speak with a manager but the employee told me that a manager was not available. I then asked for a refund and was told they they cannot provide me with a refund - WHAT!?

I am very upset at how Somos handles this situation. I will not be supporting this business any longer.

The service at their New Haven location was terrible today. At 12:30 p.m., I called to order 20 empanadas to be picked up at around 5 p.m. I called again at 3:30 p.m. to see if I can pick up the empanadas at 5:30 p.m. but was told that they never received my order. I told them that my account has already been charged and if they can still make the empanadas. They said no. I then asked for a refund to which they refused. I will not be supporting this business any longer.

Hands down- best food in New Haven!
Delicious, home-made-like crafted arepas and cachapas that will definitely have you coming back for more. We love to come every week, and they never disappoint. Try everything in their menu- you won't regret it!

I ordered a bowl and took one spoonful and spit it out. The chicken tasted rotten and when I looked closer I noticed the color of the chicken looks brown like it’s gone bad. I will never order from here again and IF I get sick this establishment will hear from more than me.

All the food is gluten free and celiac safe simply by way of being authentic! Try the carne mecha (beef) and cheese empanadas when you dine in!

I ordered takeout. When I got home I realized they made my cachapas without the chicken I had paid for, AND although the filling of the arepas tasted very good, the arepas themselves were undercooked and falling apart. PLUS, I had requested tajadas in a number of the arepas and they had none. Too bad. This place used to be good. Seems it no longer is. This is the second time my large takeout order for the family was completely botched.

This is as authentic as you can get, outside Venezuela. The arepas are delicious, the service is great and the line moves quickly. 100% recommend this place. Try it!

I never had an arepa before but I'm glad it was here first. Everything was fresh and well seasoned and there was a ton of choice for what goes in. Also I had the picante sauce and that was great. It would be nice if you could order some nachoes with the picante sauce. I will try a cachapa [sp] next time. Service was friendly and fast. Thanks for the great meal
