Creative Italian cuisine in a very intimate space. Imaginative plating and a top notch wine list with some unusual options adds to the experience. Would highly recommend a reservation as the dining room has under ten tables. Very special meal with excellent service.
The four of us were greeted warmly & welcomed by Rosanna. Her knowledge & passion for the food & wine made the experience even better. My husband & I split tagliatelle alla Bolognese for an appetizer. The Bolognese sauce was rich, meaty & delicious. The fresh tagliatelle done to perfection. Visited Strega before a show at a he Shubert and were wowed by every aspect of our meal. Service was attentive and friendly, tableware was unusual and beautiful, and most importantly, food was excellent! I had a pork dish which was tender and flavorful, my husband had a pasta dish which was excellent, and my son chose beef cheeks which were also delicious. We would highly recommend a visit to Strega if you are in New Haven!
