Not to be confused with Snubway, which is the location where I always walk in, snub the idea of getting a sandwich, and walk right out. Downtown New Haven has a lot of very interesting food options and the city is world famous - or should be - for unique and delicious pizza. Known as "apizza". They also invented burgers here - yes, really. So if you're coming to New Haven and skipping all the interesting college food and wonderful old-style traditional food and instead you're getting Subway, I feel sorry for you. Maybe it's different if you live here and you're bored of all the usual stuff and you just want some fast food, so the girl I know can possibly be forgiven because she's been here for two and a half years now, maybe she's tired of real and traditional local food. Having said that, she told me she eats at Subway at least twice a week and asked me not to tell anyone that, so I figured I would put it in my Yelp review since nobody will read it I'm sure. But she's gorgeous and skinny and very toned so obviously the Subway isn't catching up with her yet. But these are extremely unhealthy sandwiches no matter what anyone tells you, and cutting them out of your diet will do you a favour, and taste-wise you're not going to be missing anything whatsoever.

I've been working in new Haven for the past 4 months, going into this subway without a mask. The STORE MANAGER has been serving me this whole time... until today when a different employee REFUSED me service for not having a mask. I feel some sort of racism was involved just because I'm a white guy with no mask!

Service definitely could be improved, especially when I’m the only customer in the store. It really came down to attitude that evening of my visit, and while mine was on top, that of my Subway sandwich artist fell short. Won’t knock the quality of the sub I got from this transaction, as it was still quite tasty, but from a customer service and relations perspective there’s much that can be done with this store.

I used to come to this location years ago. Recently decided to come back and give it another try. This was my second visit back. No complaints about the food. It's a Subway in the middle of downtown New Haven, so you can't expect much on quality. Rather, this is a complaint about the owner. My friend attempted to redeem the subwaylistens,com survey offer at the bottom of the coupon from our first visit. The offer was for a free drink or two cookies. The owner first claimed that he had never seen anyone attempt to redeem this before (likely story). Then, he said he would honor the coupon but on one condition: "No refunds." We sat down to eat our food. During the course of the meal, we refilled our drinks as usual. Before leaving, we went for our last refill and the owner said to my friend that this was his third refill and that he said "no refills" when my friend paid for his meal (the owner has a very heavy foreign accent, so we apparently misheard him because we thought he said "no refunds"). We were astonished that the owner was actually counting the number of times my friend went back to refill his drink! So instead of arguing with the guy about the way he decides to run his business, my friend threw away his cup and we left.

We're not the usual riff-raff that comes and goes with the wind. We are business-types who work downtown and go out for lunch often. Treating a potential long-term customer like that was foolish on his part. If he wants to step over the possibility of gaining more business by being a bit nicer to his customers so that he can pick up the five cents profit he gets per refill, then fine. That's his decision. But he shouldn't expect to be in business for very long. As for my friend and I, we will not be returning to this location.

First time coming in to subway, I know.... Anyway, I ordered a Black Forest ham sub. I was amazed on the high quality of the meat. The Italian herb and cheese bread is the best bread I've ever tried! On top of this delicious food, the customer service was great, I think name was Kevin.

Actually really impressed at how nice and clean this subway was! the boy took my sandwich order correctly and recommended me some new toppings on my sandwich that would make it much better, and it was actually good! will be coming again

Every time we have gone to this subway has been an incredible experience. The establishment is extremely clean. The food has always been fresh. All of the people who work there have been patient and kind. I would highly recommend this subway to family, friends, or strangers.
