I dined in today with a friend of mine. The food was incredible and the staff was so kind and attentive. The Spicy Crab roll was my absolute favorite! It was so refreshing yet tasty. My friend enjoyed her Chicken Tempura Roll, the serving size was so big she couldn’t finish it but it was delicious. The Mango Sticky rice was sweet and tasty, the mangoes were very ripe and cold as well. We will be coming here more often as regulars and hope to try more on the menu!

Food was edible and that’s all I can say about it. Was not enjoyable in any way though. Flavor wise the fish wasn’t what I wanted it to be but I really tried to mind over matter it. But it wasn’t good. The sweet potato roll had a lot of filling which, while generous, was actually too much for what it was. Wish it were crispier as well but I know some of that is lost in delivery. Sushi did look like whoever rolled it had never rolled sushi before. Lastly, the delivery driver did not call, text, or update on grubhub that it was delivered, but after reading other reviews, I went outside and it was there, on my porch. Delivery driver should be letting people know when it’s delivered.

I don't usually write comments, but I've tried different sushi places in New Haven, and this is the best one. The order is prepared fast, and it doesn’t impact the quality. The portion sizes and packaging for delivery are always prepared with care, and the miso soup is so hot that it’s still warm when it arrives! This place truly takes care of its customers and I don’t understand why some ratings are poor. Thank you to the manager, the team who prepared in Philadelphia, California sushi, and the miso soup. Thank you for a wonderful experience every time. Wishing you all the best!

Some of the worst food I've had in my life. 27 dollars for a beef teriyaki box with two of the smallest chunks of beef I've seen and rancid sushi that appeared to be cooked? We got salmon it was mushy and fishy and absolutely horrendous. Their idea of a salad is lettuce with ginger dressing. A complete joke all around and a waste of my money.

Wow this is bad…. Like really bad. Pretty much irredeemably horrible to a point where it will stick in my memory as the place to never order from again.
The only redeeming thing was the miso soup. Everything else was just beyond disappointing. I should have read the reviews first before ordering from here :(

I ordered the beef teriyaki on Uber eats. It was $27. They sent about 1-1.5 oz of beef. It was literally two 1x1inch squares that were about 1/4 inch thick. They did not follow order instructions either. I get this meal all the time from other places and you get 3-4 times the meat. You also get vegetables with it. We ordered 2 and one of them was missing the ginger and Wasabi for the sushi. The sushi was also falling apart to the point were it could not be eaten as 1 bite. I have never experienced such garbage. Very badly prepared and a COMPLETE rip off!!!! We are both still starving!

I ordered delivery. Took over an hour despite being under 3 miles away. Ordered sushi combo. I received sushi, sashimi combo. No biggie, I just dont care for sashimi. Sushi is good. The seafood tempura was a deep fried mess. Not very tasty. They also use imitation crab meat. I ordered steamed mixed vegetables with shrimp. I recieved four pieces of shrimp on a bed of broccoli. They have the worst general tso chicken I have ever consumed. The house special lo mein was barely ok. A bit salty. The miso soup was typical. The seafood soup was decent. The salads consisted of only lettuce. Overall I suggest using them for sushi and/or sashimi only.
Firstly, portions were small. Secondly, food tasted terribly, no seasoning whatsoever. Thirdly, expensive for no reason, was disappointed with everything I got.

Did the Uber eats buy one get one deal. Really tasty sushi! Probably what you should stick to from here. California roll and shrimp tempura roll is what I got. For the California roll, the shrimp was fresh along with the avocado, and the rice was tasty along with crunchy cucumber. Shrimp tempura roll was still warm when I got home and the shrimp was crunchy and accompanied with a nice sweet tempura sauce. Will definitely get take out again if the deal continues

To start, the food was poorly packaged and the bag broke on the way home. Miso soup was unbearably salty, highly do not recommend if you have high blood pressure. The hibachi chicken was not grilled and the food was bitter. Very disappointed with my entire order
