Too expensive and too slow. I ordered a carne asada burrito ($19 before taxes and tip). 20 minutes later one of the cooks comes asking if I want everything on my burrito. I get finally get it 5 minutes later. It was decent but not nearly as good to justify the price or prep time.
Put down what you’re doing and come here right now. This place should have Michelin recognition. If it had the exposure and crowd that it deserves, I’m sure it would. We were passing through New Haven in hopes to get some pizza but the two famous places had hour+ lines out the door. We stumbled upon this place hangry and were truly left speechless. Tacos Los Gordos completely changed my taco world!
I wasn’t expecting much when I walked in, but wow—these tacos blew me away. Packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and seriously addictive. I’ve had a lot of tacos, but these are on a whole different level. I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend!
