Taichi Bubble Tea is a chain with 49 locations serving up bubble tea, ramen, and poke bowls. The first location opened in 2015. This one is located in New Haven and is in walking to other great dining locations. Parking can be found on-street and nearby garages.
I stopped in for a Thai iced bubble tea with grass jelly. There were a few kiosks there you can place your order at. The location was big with plenty of tables and seats. I got my drink within 10 minutes and it was great; I like mine with less ice and less sugar. I look forward to going back to try out their ramen and poke bowls.
I have never taken the time to write a restaurant review before, but the owner here is a dishonest and rude thief. Our order was short a major item and he blamed it on grubhub even though it was delivered from the restaurant in a bag that -was still stapled shut-, refused to give a refund, and accused me of lying about it.
DO NOT COME HERE. There is a HOLE in the wall and a MOUSE running around!
Even aside from that, the drinks are not good. We ordered a brown sugar milk tea with boba, which tasted like cardboard, and a vanilla rose drink which also was not good at all.
I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND.
I had to wait 1 hour for my food
The milk teas were delicious besides the fact they they were watered down a bit. employee continued to take orders instead if making the ones she already had. I recieved one drink and had to wait over another 20 minutes for the other 3. they seemed very short staffed but she put her self in a deeper hole by taking on so many orders at one time.
i got into a car accident on the way to go get the food and i called and they wouldn’t refund me my order. the food was good tho ig

Stopped by Taichi tonight while I was in the area! I couldn’t believe how big the space was and how many seating options there were. The pork tonkotsu ramen was good, and my strawberry milk tea satisfied my craving for boba. My mom was with me and enjoyed the brown sugar boba tea.

We got the sweet potato zang zang special with boba and a taro milk tea with pudding. The sweet potato was a bit bitter and the boba was a bit hard. The taro we got with 25% sweetness and compared to the sweet potato it was too sweet. The pudding was actually pretty good but was easy to miss after trying to suck up a boba. After we got through about half of each mixing then actually made a pretty good mix of everything (too bad it's not actually on the menu).

Enjoyable place, but the food took too long to be prepared, and 3 of 5 meals came wrong. Disappointing!
