Okay… Where do I even start… We given this place a try a couple times too many. Last night was our final visit there. On our way to bring our daughter to Ben and Jerry’s we decided to stop and get dinner before desert. It was taco Tuesday, and they had a happy hour going on… Some tacos and a few drinks didn’t sound like a bad idea… We have penil nachos, chicken tacos, and my husband ordered shrimp tacos. It was all gross except of our daughter’s quesadilla. I mean how can you mess up a flour tortilla and cheese… The “penil” nachos were beyond gross. The shredded cheese they use makes the nachos so greasy and “pernil” was beyond dried and flavorless. The grilled chicken on my tacos was also very dried and flavorless… Let me very clear… I am Hispanic and I know seasonless meat… My husband asked for the best Tequila in stock and our waitress pretty much told us the Tequila they served was basically trash… Hence, their name is “Te Amo Tequila Bar & Tacos”. I respect and appreciate her honesty. The ONLY reason I gave this restaurant any stars was because our waitress was very nice and attentive. Too bad the food is horrible., this place has potential. Great location and the music is usually good…. We WILL not be going back…. Get new cooks :-/

i’ve been coming here since they opened. i love it here and the staff always welcomes me and my friend’s, i’m sure they are sick and tired of me by now?. but all jokes aside i’ve never ever had a bad experience here and a few times ive gotten a free round. i appreciate that they remember me and make my visits special. i hope they are in the neighborhood for years to come.

Customer service was amazing. The Margarita with the Tajín rim was super tasty. My cousin decided on the drinks, and we had 2 each. Lol. It was my first time having the Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla, and it was actually pretty good. I had that along with some good Ole sweet plantains. You can never go wrong with them.. lol. I'll definitely be back for another happy hour. Great vibes and atmosphere. ?

We were celebrating my Nephew’s birthday. He turned 23. My family and I had a great evening. Alex was our waiter, he was GREAT! Food and drinks came out on time. If we needed anything Alex was a very pleasant young man. Thank you Sonia for another awesome family birthday celebration at your establishment. You never disappoint.
My last two orders from Te Amo Tequila were incomplete. The first time they forgot to include the dessert when delivering my order. The second time they forgot 5 out of 7 items from my food.I will not buy food from them anymore. Horrible experience.

The waitress Alicia was so wonderful and made great suggestionsThe matgarita take flight drinks were amazingly delicious. I purchased the cheese burger quesadilla and the nachos with mango salsa. Definitely come in and treat yourself. To a amazingly delicious treat.Vegetarian options: They had avocado tacos,mushrooms tacos,plantain tacosAnd plenty of other wonderful selections.

Came in for Happy Hour at 5:45. No one came to our table until about 6:00 after having to ask someone to send over a waiter. Another party was sat right next to us. They were served about 2 mins after being seated. The server showed favoritism to said table as they looked more like him and spoke fluent Spanish. I watched him look at our table (my cup was empty) he walked over to the other table asked them about refills and then walked quickly back to the bar, ignoring our tables needs.Then as happy hour was ending I wanted to test my theory by ordering some shots. by 6:30 we were done eating and had received our last set of margaritas. At 6:50 he finally came over to check on us (after tending to the table next to us twice in the 20mins) we asked for the checks and 3 shots on a separate check. He came back w/ both tables checks and said he'd be right back with our shots. I watched him sit at the bar pretending to make drinks before he made the tab for my shots and pour them out. He waited until 7:00 on the dot as shown on the receipt to serve us. I refused the shots as it proved he was not being attentive to our table.I was very vocal about his lack of attention but in a respectful manner and yes I do speak Spanish and overheard him mention that we wouldn’t tip anyway so why bother. Disgusting behavior I really liked this place until today
