Fresh, flavorful vegan dishes! Everything we tried was delicious!
I was so excited to try this place due to the overwhelmingly positive reviews. We ordered takeout here on a random week night. When we arrived we were completely ignored for quite a while and stared at from afar by staff members. It took awhile to get someone's attention to be willing to help us. We were just trying to pickup an online order that was already paid for. When we got home we realized they completely forgot the fries with cheese we ordered (which weren't cheap) but we live too far to bother going back so we just took the loss. The rest of the food wasn't great. The mac n cheese is the worst I've tried from anywhere and was basically inedible, and I'm not picky when it comes to vegan mac n cheese, it's one of those things I always try if it's on a menu. We ended up throwing most of our order out after trying a bite or two, which is something we haven't experienced at any of the other vegan restaurants around.
The Cannon is a cool Arsenal supporter pub that just so happens to be vegan. They have a great selection of beers and vegan pub food I haven't found anywhere in NYC or CT. We had the Shepherds Pie and Bangers and Mash and both were delicious, some of the best I've ever had (including in the UK). One thing to note is that you order at the bar. They have a sign, but I saw a few people sitting around waiting for someone to come take their order. I will definitely be back here, hopefully to watch an Arsenal match and get the full experience.
Love it

Cute little spot. Jazz music really made it what it was on Sunday night. It created a fun and moody atmosphere. The food did take a while to be served. The waiter/bartender was friendly, and the vegan burger wasn’t bad! Overall, the music was the highlight. GF options are few, important to add GF pasta and bread to the menu as well as more dessert options. Hope they consider that!

Great environment, live music, friendly service, and excellent food. I love that the menu is vegan. Food service was a little slow, but it wasn’t too bad.

Excellent food and soccer on TV but not a sports bar vibe. Very chill. I had the fried fish sando (hearts of palm, capers, nori) which was fantastic. With a side of vegan Mac. A previous commenter says not everything is vegan but I didn’t see any dairy cheese on the menu and the barman said it’s fully vegan. My partner had the shawarma special. We had fun. Not fully vegan, they have dairy cheese. Unwelcoming, no where to sit. Ignored by the bartender and no menus to be found. Tried to order online to just get something to go, the ordering section of the website was down. I'm from out of town and not the biggest bar person to begin with, so I wouldn't come back here if I'm in the area again.

This place makes me feel like a regular person. Like I’m the same as everyone else, just hanging out at a local bar, eating pub food, watching sports, and listening to live music. Nothing pretentious, and nothing fast-casual-faux-healthy. The food was delicious and piping hot. Everything is made in house. Service is friendly. Vibe is… local bar - exactly how it should be. (Families with kids should be comfortable during meal-times.) It’s 30 minutes from my house and is totally gonna be my haunt. *Would be better if they got rid of the dairy-cheese-upon-request option.
Must stop when in New Haven. Great ambiance, drinks, and amazing food. Everything is vegan - there is an option to add cheese which makes it vegetarian but everything is default vegan. Menu rotates a lot but the Stake and ale pie is fantastic and I love the fried “fish”
