The food here is amazing and our waitress was awesome. You have to try the grapefruit brûlée and the cinnamon roll pancake!

Simple, homey, down-to-earth breakfast spot for eggs, toast, homefries and pancakes. It's cash-only, so make sure you bring some cash. We got omelettes, 2 eggs any style, eggs benedict, eggs florentine, an egg sandwich, and cinnamon roll pancakes.
You can order wheat, white, rye, or English muffin for toast. The omelettes are very customizable, and the toppings were delicious. They have Smuckers marmalade, strawberry jam, and grape jam. There's also maple syrup, Tabasco, and ketchup. The coffee was great.
The homefries are very crisp and delectable. We highly recommend the fluffy cinnamon roll pancakes for a sweet treat :)

If you're in New Haven or a student at Yale, you should find a weekend to hike to the Pantry. I'm surprised not more people know about this place. Fresh brunch place!

Cozy, colorful atmosphere and excellent, helpful, friendly waitstaff. The menu has something for everyone, even a delicious (seriously) tofu scramble! Five people in our party and everyone liked what they ordered.

We really liked our server. One of us has dietary restrictions, and she was very attentive to his needs.

Perfect brunch. Delicious eggs, bacon, and home fries are some of the best I've ever had. Price is very reasonable.

A celiac’s dream diner! While there is no gluten-free bread option, most (if not all) food is prepared on its own grill/pan so there is no cross contact of gluten containing items! Eggs=safe, home fries=safe, bacon=safe. The pic is of the grapefruit brûlée; I’d go back just for this dish. So simple but tastes complex. So tasty. All the food was excellent! I sat at the counter and chatted with most of the staff who were friendly and efficient. Great all around diner!

The food was good. Menu was limited to eggs (different ways) home fries pancakes or French toast. We were a party of 2 but waited a good 10 min for someone to seat us even though there were 4 tables available. Service was slow and forgot to bring things asked for. Example: a refill of coffee (I had to flag the waitress down 3 times for coffee). Napkins, finished my meal and still didn’t get napkins. There’s paid parking in the back so that’s a plus in New Haven (meter didn’t work tho) and it’s cash only but there is an atm there if you forget your cash. If you live within walking distance it’s a cozy spot to visit if you don’t feel like making breakfast on a Saturday or Sunday morning but not with the drive for a basic breakfast menu. Good spot for locals.

Restaurantji Recommends
Stopped here on a Saturday morning to see an old friend, and every aspect of this restaurant encapsulated that experience perfectly. Friendly waitresses with frequent coffee refills, the morning sun pouring in the windows, and the faint sound of jazz playing from somewhere nearby. A perfect start to a beautiful day.

The server James was very pleasant and continuous to check on us. The food made by the chef, Eric was absolutely amazing - nice and hot, fresh, and seasoned. We had the Belgian waffle, ham, cheesy scrambled eggs, blueberry pancakes, and an omelette. Everything was absolutely amazing.. Thanks again Eric!

The BEST breakfast in New Haven. The quality and portions of food they serve is second to none. Oh, and the coffee is brilliant. The staff are also super friendly and really good at what they do! My mom and I come here from time to time to catch up and yap about life. So yeah, 5 stars all around. :)

Had a variation of the eggs Benedict, by far, the best I’ve ever had. I’ve lived near New Haven my entire life and haven’t tried this. After this morning, this will be one of my regulars.

A little treasure on State St. the host was amazing.
Coffee keeps coming without asking.
The smoked salmon eggs Benedict are out of this world.
My little one had the cinnamon roll pancakes- these should be illegal.
Wifey had the Florentine and was blown away with the savory combinations.
Price range $20/person.
Absolutely will return for another visit.
