Wish I could give less stars. The bouncer here was so rude to my friends and I. He mocked our friends while saying they couldn't get into the bar but would provide no real reason as to why. The police officers near by stepped in and said my friends were fine to go in and he still denied entry. He said I was too red and I replied that I am Asian so that's what happens when I drink (a genetic trait). He said I was pulling the "race" card when I was just trying to explain why my face was red. Disappointed that this was the person the bar chose to be the first impression for patrons.

I must say I was surprised. The place is bigger than it seems with lots of seating. The staff were great and on top. The stew beef in Guinness is a must

A good place for a college student. My friends and I walked in and immediately we were id'd. I guess I was expecting a more restaurant like place instead of a heavy bar scene, but should've expected that considering it was a Saturday night. Food was delicious but service was a tad slow. Nice place to try! Irish curry was delicious!

I've wanted to visit The Trinity Bar for a while, but I'm not from the area and I had no idea where it is. As I was walking somewhere else on Sunday morning around 11 am, I noticed some people hovering outside a bar. Then I saw the Irish flag, and the sign -- "The Trinity Bar". I had just enough time for a beer. The inside was cool and appropriate for an Irish bar. All of the seating was basically taken by 11:30 a.m. for the Liverpool and Arsenal game. You've got to respect a bar that can fill up before noon on Sunday. They had a good beer selection. I ordered CT's own Tribus. Very good. I've seen pics of Fish and Chips. I've heard people who know food say it's the best in CT. It looks like it may be. I'm going back for it. At least until then . . . 5 Stars.

Our most odd bar hopping stop with how quiet it was inside. This place is a soccer Irish pub for sure. They have a bunch of memorabilia on the walls of all types of Soccer things. Service was nice and attentive. Only had 1 drink inside at the bar that seats about 15-20 people.

Received unwanted attention from men at this bar both times I went as a female alone. My third visit, bartender told me I was a problem patron & unwelcome to return. The security guard was as confused as I was! Noticed another reviewer said he was racially profiled (assumed to be a cab driver due to skin color). I'm sad because I really wanted this to become like - a place to visit over & over. But no: I won't be back

Wow! I love finding new places ... New to me, not new to New Haven. Always looking for good fish n chips. This Irish Pub delivers. Great looking, spacious interior, nice staff - shout-out to Hannah, my server, good selection of beers on draft ... I will come back soon with friends.

The portions were HUGE for the really fair prices. My steak frites (cooked to perfection with a fabulous peppercorn gravy) was just $18. The nachos were such a big portion that my party of 4 had to pack away half of it because it was just too much to finish at once. Their wings were also really well cooked and juicy with flavorful sauces. We tried some wings tossed in hot honey and it was life changing.
