Definitely one of my favorite drinks in New Haven. Their fruit tea options are great too, and I believe they have uncaffeinated options too.
Loved the taro milk tea with real taro
Extremely satisfying!
Great drinks, nice atmosphere. Service was bare minimum
I've been here a few times and each time I leave happy. The drinks I order always have a good amount of tapioca pearls. It's also nice that you can adjust the sweetness and type of milk. The drinks are made quickly even with the large crowd that was in there at the time I was there. I ordered the Thai tea with tapioca pearls, oat milk, 30% sugar and it was delicious!
Ordered nondairy medium sweet and i got a pretty sweet definitely dairy filled drink cuz I got cystic acne on my chin, which only happens when Im dairy-ed. I knew it tasted off but it was expensive and I tipped.
Ive ordered here before and each time it was mostly ice, even when putting the less ice option. Ofc this time the ice level was ok.
Had the mango juice was delicious can't wait to get another one when I visit new Haven
The Whale Tea makes some very delicious Boba!!! I have been a couple times and it is consistently good each time. My personal favorite is the mango fruit tea with strawberry popping bobas. If you prefer classic milk teas, this is also the place for you. I do have to say, the service isn’t so great, because the workers aren’t super kind. Over all, to this is an incredible Boba Shop!
We went there on a Friday afternoon for takeway. You can order through kiosks available once you go inside. They have variety of drinks and the most important thing you can modify your drink sweetness and ice ratio which is a big bonus for me. They do have indoor seatings. I got the brown sugar boba milk tea a classic you can’t go wrong with. I’d visit to try more drinks for sure!
We tried the Matcha Tea from this place. The tea was good and the place is very well kept.

Great place for Boba in New Haven
delish! me and my wife were worried that our kids wouldn't like Whale Tea, as they had only been to competitors. However, they both lit up with joy as they tasted their first sips of their creative orders! With every gulp their faces lit up even more, and by end they were gleaming with glee. We will be making many more family trips in thw future! Thanks Whale Tea for bringing our family back together in these trying times. ?
Tasty bubble tea, nice staff.
I think the prices are a little high. But the teas are very good. I usually get a traditional milk tea, but I recently tried the grapefruit tea and it was very refreshing. I do like that when you order at the kiosk you can request less sugar ((75% ,50%).
