Deliciousss. Love this. Goto spot for hotpot in new haven. I love the pork bone broth soup and the prices are quite reasonable. It is very very good. I wished they use spam instead of luncheon meat tho.

This is an excellent new place in New Haven and one I highly recommend. I’m not kidding, it might be some of the best, most authentic Chinese food in the city. Do the build your own bowl, try the pork broth, throw in a meat and some veggies and you’ve got an awesome meal for a reasonable price. If you’re craving good, authentic, real Chinese food give this place a try - you will not be disappointed!

Tiger daddy is such a fun and hip spot. The options are fresh and limitless! You can truly try something new each time you come in with all of the options that are available. The kiosk makes ordering quick and easy. And it's soooo clean. I love it here.

The food is very yummy (I got both hotpot and sushi) and I love the look of the place! I will say I was expecting to get to cook my own hotpot like other places.

Cashiers are always nice and friendly the food is great traditional chinese food, id recommend them to CT tourists because the sushi option is a great addition, you get the best Traditional chinese food and japanese food so it's a great combination. Sometimes the cashier speaks mostly mandarin But there's usually someone with more english when I struggle with communicating. I'm OK with it and grateful for the Convenience of the food also because They're quick but food still comes out great. And I get to practice my mandarin with the mandarin speaking cashier. Such a nice guy. I like the diversity of the restaurant because I get to use another language and communicate with new and different people. It's a doubly pleasant experience to learn something new and enjoy good food. They definitely accommodate.

Be careful: Snackpass users, if you mistakenly place an order and want to cancel it, the cancellation is not guaranteed. What happened to us is that after placing the order we immediately called the restaurant to cancel it. What we were told is “It’s my first day here so I don’t know how to cancel it. I’m very busy now I don’t have time to handle it for you”. Well, we saw her was working in the restaurant a month ago, so it’s hard not to believe that’s their trick to force you keep the order you want to cancel.

It was okay the malatang. The portion is a little small. Tastes more like a regular hotpot than malatang

At long last, we have a Chinese hot pot spot in New Haven! With that said, I have some notes to share...General Notes:1) Your hot pot is cooked to order - which means it is nice and fresh, but can take 10-20 min to prepare even if there is no line.2) At the kiosk, you can swap between English & Chinese menus by clicking the buttons in the upper right (EN / 中)3) They automatically put green onion and cilantro on top - add a note in your order or let the staff know if you don't want one of these toppings.4) They didn't offer a ton of leafy green options, even missing classics like napa cabbage. Not sure if this is due to lack of demand, but it would have been nice to have more choices beyond bok choy.Notes if you are new to hot pot:1) The ordering kiosk can be a bit overwhelming at first. But basically, you choose a broth, then keep scrolling to add in proteins, veggies, and carbs based on your preference. 2) If too many ingredients sound unfamiliar, they have 5 preset combo options that allow you to try a bunch of stuff and learn what you like.Notes if you are familiar with hot pot:1) The hot pot is precooked in the kitchen, not served on a burner (even for dine in). Everything is served in takeout containers.2) As far as I can tell, they don't offer dipping sauces either, it's just the ingredients + soup.Recommendations (things we liked, although this varies widely based on personal preference):1) Golden Hot & Sour Soup Base (Mild)2) Pork Belly3) Lotus Root4) Bean Sprouts5) Fried Tofu (soaks up the hot broth nicely)6) Bok Choy (for health of course)7) Vermicelli
