We went to Tre Scalini for nostalgic purposes as it had been like 30 years since we had been there. The lighting was too bright and needed dimming for a more ambient feeling. Our waitress was lovely however. The food really had no flavor at all so we didn't eat much of it. Very disappointing.
Out waitress Pam was the best. Food was mediocre and the ambience nothing special. The table by the window was nice. You can't beat the neighborhood.
The people! The food, WOW! So good! We drive nearly an hour for this special place.

Food was excellent and the overall value was superb. Except for forgetting to refill an iced tea the service was very good. Great location as well!

Had a great meal, the crab cakes were delicious! Love the ambiance! Waitress was fantastic with great service. For such an elegant charming restaurant, was disappointed the hostess was dressed in leggings and crop top …. took away from our first impressions unfortunately.
Our waiter/bartender was fantastic. So knowledgeable and personable. Loved chatting with him. Our meals were all outstanding and plentiful. Never disappointed at Tre Scalini.
The food was tasty but not noteworthy. The menu was dated in the nineties and the food was lacking presentation. You won't find any creativity or elevated culinary twists, just old school limited Italian food. Many empty seats on a Saturday night with an empty patio unset for service. The host on his phone not even acknowledging our exit or interested in our experience. The waiter was very good and the bus people assured we never ran out of water !
Excellent service from Mark, superb and very flavorful food and attentive all around. Excellent experience.
We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday with an unforgettable dining experience. Mark, our exceptional server, described each dish beautifully and offered thoughtful recommendations for the appetizers. They were not only incredibly delicious but also presented with true five-star flair. We can't wait to go back.
I went early on a Friday and the restaurant was not crowded. They have a prix fixe menu with a great variety of choices that included salad options. Drink specials had a nice variety as well. Our waiter was attentive as well.

Traditional Italian ambiance, food was very good. Our server, Kelly, was helpful, knowledgeable---not just about the food, but also the history of the "Little Italy in New Haven" setting---and took good care of our every need.
My family always had a great experience at Tre Scalini. The food is amazing and the staff has been wonderful. It will continue to be a destination for us. They also are well versed and very helpful on food allergies as I am celiac.
The food was very good. It was our first time there disclaimer it was Mother's Day so it was very crowded and there were a lot of graduations taking place that day. We waited over 45 minutes for our entrée and the waitress kept apologizing and we understood however a complimentary dessert or a discount off the bill would've been nice
everything was amazing , our guests loved all of it and kelly our server was excellent !!!!!!
Consistently great food and service. We always bring out of state visitors to experience the best Italian food in the neighborhood
