The food was amazing. We had the beet salad and calamari to start and they were both delicious. I'd come back for the beet salad. Our entrees were lamb and branzino. Both delicious. If we ever are in the area again, this is where we will go. Wish there was one in Stamford! Hint hint ..

Extremely slow service, both kitchen and wait staff Tasty, but overpriced for portion size

I have always been very pleased with the food at Zinc. I'm not sure if something has changed or not but the food that I had at this last visit was mediocre. I got the chicken dish that was lacking in flavor. Very plain. Hopefully this is not a reflection of what will be the norm. The staff is excellent

Food and wine list are very good and the food preparation was excellent. The whipped chesse was superb.

I hosted a Birthday dinner for my wife with two other couples. We had a delightful evening. There wasn't a single dish that wasn't delicious. We had the babaganouj, the whipped ricotta (a stand out), beet salad, fried calamari, fried octopus, pad thai, terres major and several wines by the glass. For dessert we had the olive oil almond cake and the trio of sorbet. Everything is something I'd order again. Highly recommended.

The food and service were exceptional. The moment we walked in we were greeted by the hostess in a polite and welcoming manner. Our waitress was engaging throughout the evening.

Zinc New Haven is an absolute gem! Our group ordered different dishes and everyone loved everything. The food was fresh, innovative and delicious. The service was warm, welcoming and efficient. We will be back!

Stopped in for a quick lunch and thoroughly enjoyed. The hummus was like butter, the burger was monstrous and fabulous. Look forward to visiting again!

It was such an amazing time. We initially booked for 7:45 but we were almost ready by 6:45. So we called in and they were able to accommodate us. The waitress was amazing and helped us in every way. Would love to return

Second time here. Food excellent, drinks nice pairing with the food. Noise level is low so we totally enjoyed actually having a conversation with the others at our table. Would visit again

The hostess was lovely! I messaged on Open Table that we would late by 7. Graduation parking lot traffic was insane as was New Haven but she called me at 6 minutes passed to check on us. We were on our way and walking in the door as we chatted. The cocktail was outstanding, the food was delicious and indeed different but you could get a burger if you needed that. Service was outstanding and the bathroom, although far away were clean. One suggestion: partner with the closest parking garage And over explain the parking situation. “Public Parking” is kinda vague. It's not on your site or Open Table and it's important. (For those not familiar with New Haven). Otherwise thanks for a lovely lunch! 🌺

We were greeted warmly by the host, who asked our preference for seating (closer to the front, which would potentially be a bit louder, or further back, for quiet) and we deferred to them. We were seated in the perfect spot, two thirds of the way back, at a round table with a wrapping booth. A great spot to observe the entire restaurant. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about every aspect of the menu, including the round of cocktails we ordered. We ordered the whipped goat cheese and pea ricotta starter, which came with delicious garlicky bread and for our entree, the teres major steak, which is a cut we had never encountered. We would highly recommend it. Lean, juicy, tender and cooked as ordered. The deserts, though, were perhaps the highlight. We shared the spiced chocolate chip cookie, with chocolate & cardamom ice cream (delicious) and a special hidden chocolate ganache surprise, which we were fighting over to get the last bite. We also ordered the double chocolate yogurt mousse cake, which was subtle and dense. We'd suggest sharing one or the other, unless you have saved a lot of room for dessert, as the portions were quite generous. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff that clearly wanted guests to have the best possible experience. Highly recommended and we'll be coming back soon.

Hadn't been to zinc in several years. We were seated in a quiet place as requested. There were no specials offered as they are changing their menu to seasonal selections. Prices were rather steep so we were limited as to what to order but the food was delicious even though the portions were rather small. Not sure if I would return for dinner maybe just for an appetizer based on the above
