Consistently good and welcoming. Only open until 2pm weekdays and 1pm weekends though since covid hit. Worth coming in early for a seat.

Always a great choice if you go to Jake's. The menu selection is on point. The specials they have are always delicious. So many choices for even the pickiest of eaters.

Loved my California omelette. Potatoes are A+. Tasty, rye toast. My husband liked his Greek omelette. Attentive service. Will return.Food: 5/5

Perfect stop on the way to the ferry!California eggs benedict was very tasty. Bacon cooked just right, avocado ripe (not easy to do!) and great home fries. Service very friendly and fast. Good prices. Would come back!

I love coming here. The waffles are so fluffy and I always get medium hard eggs and they’re cooked to perfection. I’ve never once been disappointed. Jake personally comes out every single time and says hello and asks how we are doing and how our food is. Between him and the friendly blonde lady in the front the vibe is always warm and welcoming. This is so much appreciated ESPECIALLY post Covid where there have been so many places that have not kept up with good food or service… it’s nice to know that if I ever need a friendly face and a delicious hot meal I can just come down to Jakes diner.

Walked around New London Connecticut. It didn't look anything like the internet travel pages. Closed storefronts, ho. Eless people laying on streets. Etc. Found a diner on the main stretch. Needs a good scrubbing. Kinda busy, but issue was both waitresses were busy messing with the cash register software instead of taking care of customers. Waited quite a while for our breakfast. The food was better than expected for a hole in the wall. Prices were reasonable, but again, pay attention to customers and clear tables.

Terrible terrible terrible. I wish I could say I at least tried something here but we left early after getting our water because of how disorganized the service was. We were waiting for some time with no utensils and no napkins, people had dirty plates stacked up, and the staff was passive aggressive w each other when coordinating orders. One person took our drink order, for someone else to come by again and ask us for our drink order. We told them we already were being served and they said "ok well, give me your drink order now." Maybe not a good day for them, but definitely not wasting my time.

Food was handled with ungloved greasy hands. This was visible from our table. Kind waitresses but the kitchen's food handling really made me lose my appetite.

Ha! Wasn't even open. Sign on the door said 'Closed on Wednesdays' and it was Thursday! Recommended to us by a hotel clerk who obviously didn't know that maybe it went out of business! Who knows!

Good food good service. Owner walks around and greets the customers. Will go back when in the area.

Simple mom and pop style of restaurant. Even though they were understaffed and things were a little slow, the staff was friendly and helpful. Smiles and hello's reminded me of those restaurants down south. Food was good. Coffee was good. No frills type of place. Not fancy but good and simple.

I moved to New London a couple years ago and felt right at home at Jake's. It's where I go when I need a good meal to get me through the day. It has a lively character and Jake and Nicole always treat you like a person. They also care about the food. You can't go wrong with any of the staples, especially the burgers (never frozen). They also frequently have specials (Georgia hots and fish and grits are recurring favorites), and Jake is always making his own hot sauces, which I highly recommend.

Decent food. Felt like it took a long time to get food and server walked by several times with coffee pot and ignored requests for refill. I will give them another try and adjust review if warranted.
