Happy Day

The Blue Duck is truly a hidden gem! Nestled right along the water, the ocean view alone makes it worth the visit—but the food, drinks, and especially the service make it unforgettable.

I had the pleasure of dining here recently, and everything from start to finish was perfect. The vibe is casual yet classy, and you can’t beat the fresh sea breeze while enjoying your meal. The food was delicious and the cocktails were perfectly crafted, but what stood out most was the service.

There were two incredible servers that evening who made the whole experience even more special. One was a lovely Spanish woman with long, straight black hair—so graceful and attentive. The other had beautiful tan skin and wore her braids so effortlessly; her energy was warm and welcoming. Both of them radiated beauty, confidence, and professionalism. They worked so well together, and it was clear they genuinely cared about the customers.

If you’re looking for great food, great views, and even better service, The Blue Duck is the place to go. I’ll definitely be back!

Average food, decent atmosphere and location, horrible service.

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it's a flop.

Outdoor seating is nice, some shade and sun options, overhead fans, music.

Went through my whole lunch service with an empty cup. Never, not once, we're we checked in on. We had to flag people down, and even then they never brought the mustard we asked for.

They gave my 5 year old a regular adult cup, I had to ask for a kids cup and straw.

The food was average, maybe a little worse. My Nashville chicken sandwich was soggy. Others we were with said their wrap and fish and chips were better than average.

I hope this feedback is taken to heart and they improve.

Came here on a whim because it was close to our hotel. The staff were SO FRIENDLY and THOUGHTFUL, we asked for lobster roll takeout and to have just one serving of fries, but they took the initiative to box our fries separately, packed everything beautifully, and give us extra plates and cutlery to eat on. The lobster rolls were delicious and made mostly of whole lobster claws, the portions are so generous the lobster claws kept falling out of bun. If i’m ever in town again i’d definitely revisit.

The food is excellent, they allow dogs outside, and the view is awesome. If you like dogs and submarines, this place is not to be missed.

Review of The Blue Duck

Our first visit to The Blue Duck was such a memorable experience—we were genuinely impressed by the beautiful location, the welcoming atmosphere, and how friendly and attentive the staff were. The food was excellent, and it quickly became a spot we were excited to return to.

However, after several more visits, it feels like the spark we initially experienced has started to fade. On our most recent visit, there were a few issues that stood out.

To start, our fries were served cold, and the Blue Duck Burger was unfortunately overcooked. One of my friends ordered the bao buns and specifically asked for no cilantro. While we understand it can be hard to hear clearly in such a loud and overstimulating environment—between the trains, horns, and boats—we do wish the request had been confirmed or double-checked. The bao buns arrived with cilantro, but my friend didn’t want to cause a delay and politely declined having it remade since we were already halfway through our meal.

What added to the confusion was that about five minutes later, a different server brought out a new order of bao buns without any explanation. We appreciated the effort, but it highlighted a lack of communication between the staff and made the experience feel disjointed. If our original server had let us know the dish was being remade, we could’ve better planned around it.

Overall, the location remains a beautiful draw, but we hope the staff can bring back the enthusiasm and clear communication that once made this place so special. A little more consistency and care from the servers would go a long way in improving the overall dining experience.

Drinks are so good! Passionfruit mojito and coconut guava mule

Owner and staff are very friendly and attentive. Just check if there are any events going on before hand in regards in the noise level.

If you want to have a nice dinner and some drinks definitely check out this spot!!

Good food and staff. Music so loud you have to yell across your table and even half the time that isn't even loud enough.

Can't enjoy a night with friends if you can't hear them.

Had the Cubano sandwich. It was the worst sandwich I ever had. Dry cold, it looks like they made it days ago and then microwaved. The fish and chips looked good thst my date had.
