You MUST try the calamari!
Everything is so good.
Parking: Large parking lot behind building but this brings you to backstairs entry. You'll need to go around front or park on street in front for wheelchair access.

We come down from Boston to do a wine trip through the North Fork of LI every year. And we found Tony D's the first one, maybe 16 trips ago. And we have had dinner there every time since.
For good reason.
We stopped through last night, as usual, after getting off the ferry. The hostess ran to make sure our table was set, and while she was gone, two other staff members stopped in to make sure we were taken care of.
We had a few drinks and ordered a bottle of Barolo, and our waiter was wonderful, making sure to offer pepper or cheese with our courses, and they have gluten free pasta, as well, so everyone gets taken care of.
Looking forward to stop 17 next year.
Dietary restrictions: Took care of our gluten and dairy restrictions. Very nice.

I enjoyed my evening here. Very classy. Service was quick and attentive. I ordered duck special for dinner. It was good but not what I exspected. I thought it would be tender and soft but it was on the dry side and a little tough however I wasn't disappointed. It actually reminded me of a ham. Perhaps that's how it is supposed to be? Over all good experience and will be back.
Excellent food, large portion

My wife and I went for dinner while in town. Thursday, early evening, parked around back. Walking down the stairs made us think "mobster" "speakeasy" ish ? like we knew a guy and we have special access. Atmosphere inside was fine for us, lighted enough to see the place, but not too bright to kill the vibe. Service was immediate and professional. We order the pumpkin bisque, f***ing delicious!!! ?? ? Bailey asked if we'd like to hear the specials, we ended up with 3 meals ha! My wife had the swordfish, she would have liked it cooked a bit more (just her preference ). I had the Linguine Alla Vongole, it was perfect, best cooked pasta I've ever had, clams were spot on. We mostly never order dessert, but Bailey suggested a few and we ordered one each. I had the pistachio creme brulee, and my wife had tiramisu. They were both decent, I think the powdered sugar took over the other flavors. All around, it was a delicious drinks/dinner/dessert and we would definitely come again to try more menu options!!
Parking: There seemed to be front street parking, and a big lot out back. Place got busy and parking was filling up fast

It was way too dark inside we could barely read our menus, please get some new light bulbs, a bit pricey but food was okay

Food was very good! However way too dark! We were seated in the bar area (6 people) and we literally could not see each other or read the menu. I would expect a better atmosphere for a restaurant like this.

Looking for the best Italian restaurant in CT, look no further! Tony D’s is consistently excellent. From the service to the ambience to the food, this place can’t be beat. Bartenders are always friendly and make great drinks. Some of our favorite dishes are the calamari caprese, pork chop special, chicken Parmesan and the veal piccata.

It's probably the best Italian restaurant I've been to. From the hostess to the waiter and the guy coming to the table with the bowl after grated cheese and the 2 foot pepper grinder! Everybody said their meal was superb!
