The owner was so rude the pictures here are false he gave us minimal half a bowl so expensive, it was our first time and he was not only rushing us but so mean. Then when we rushed for him he still was upset. The food was horrible better going to chain restaurant. As a small business owner myself I try to support but I ate in our car cause he was horrible. The place was empty I see why now. We should of just walked out without the bowls. I was trying to be nice give him the benefit of the doubt. Never ever in my life or again.

This is a tough one! So we have gone here for years and unquestionably the Volcano Bowl is the best Poke bowl around and why we drive 20 minutes each way to get it. The food is literally the ONLY reason to go. The owner is absolutely UNFRIENDLY to non Asian customers. I see other reviews from people saying how he doesn’t like anyone non-Caucasion and I am here to say he doesn’t like Caucasions either!! You need to be Asian. We have literally gone out of our way to be friendly and try to speak to him. (It has almost become an amusement of our to see if we can crack his concrete shell!!) Many times. NOPE. We went yesterday and it was empty. The entire time we ate there. I think his attitude and utter lack of friendliness is so off putting that people are going elsewhere. The first couple times it happened I thought maybe he or a family member was ill-gave him the benefit of the doubt. Nope it’s been ages now. We are looking for a new Poke place! We speak with our wallet. What a shame.

Amazing poke. Extremely unfriendly owner. I can no longer recommend and we have gone for years. I have recommended it to many. The volcano bowl is something we drove 45 min round trip for. We have bent over backwards to be nice to the owner and he is extremely unfriendly after MANY times of us going in! NOT how you treat any customer let alone a somewhat regular one. If you look on Google reviews you will see many people saying he only treats Causasion well. I am here to say that is untrue as a Caucasion! We suspect you must actually be Asian to get any niceness out out this man. Sad to say we are looking for a new Poke place. What a shame.

Haven’t tried the food yet but I ordered online and wasn’t given a time, so I headed over. The owner told me I came too early and kept repeating that next time I should wait longer before arriving. I didn’t demand my order or anything, I patiently waited for my food. Also, when I was leaving, I grabbed my items and it took a second and he said “Ok you can leave now”. Haven’t even eaten the food yet but it was just so off putting and rude. I know I will never go back.

The guy owner here is not too fond of non Caucasian people. This is my second time here. Both times I ordered online to pick up in store. The first time, the man just tossed my bag of sushi at me. This second time, the store had no one in there. I went in and asked for my order and he hands me the items (sushi, soy sauce packet, napkin and chopsticks), I asked for a bag and he does a VERY DEEP breath. He tells me he’s just soo busy, while he opens the bag with one hand for me to place the items in. The food is SO good here but unfortunately I will not be spending my money with this business again.

My mother and I were looking for a sushi restaurant near us and this was the closest one. When we got here the service was terrible. First of all the food is very expensive to begin with. My mother is a veteran and she went to go order food and she couldn’t hear what the owner was telling her and the owner raised his voice at my mother in a disrespectful tone of voice. It had become a very unpleasant environment to be in and it was an awful experience. I do not recommended this restaurant at all! This is not the way to treat our veterans.

Stopped in for a quick bite, and the owners were very friendly! The two owners really do look like mom and pop and made delicious quality poké and sushi. We got an Alaskan roll and double salmon in our poke and the fish quality melts in your mouth, everything was fresh and tasty. Definitely come in to support this local poke shop!
