My husband and I love diners and we were excited to try this one since we were in the area. It's an adorable building and the service was decent, but the food was terrible. I've never had dried out, tough pancakes before today. My husband had the pigs in a blanket, and his pancakes were raw in the middle, making his meal inedible. We got up and left our meal on the table. The hostess asked us how everything was so we were honest and told her. She didn't even seem surprised -- just mumbled that she was sorry, and charged us the full price for the breakfast we couldn't and didn't eat. We will NOT be back.

The breakfast we had was awesome, just like we remembered it from years ago. The wait staff is friendly and considerate to all. Miss the joy of having a jukebox at your table? Then this is the place to go, breakfast, lunch,or dinner.

I think people are letting their nostalgia get the best of them because this place is absolutely horrendous. It should’ve been bulldozed.

Amazing food, friendly service, and a charming retro vibe. I’ve lived in Connecticut my whole life and only started coming here recently... I’m definitely kicking myself for waiting so long LOL! The French fries are always 10/10, fresh and flavorful every single time.

I highly recommend the tuna melt, the corned beef hash breakfast plate, or the patty melt. You really can’t go wrong here.

The vibe is nice it’s only looking but the food is atrocious burger buns as hard as a brick and the patty was cooked more rare than medium and there was a hair in the food with dirty dishes and the burger itself was 17 dollars for a frozen patty in between rocks and hair on the plate and ketchup all under the bottom of the plate. Just put a McDonald’s here at this point not even Gordon Ramsay would turn this around
