Good food. But services were strange. You have to order and pay up front. Then server brings food and takes paper remnants away.

Food is very good. Restaurant is like a cash only take out place with seating you can use. That part is strange.
You are seated at a table, then go wait in line at the entrance to order and pay for food, then the food it brought to your table.
Drinks are self serve like taco bell. You are given a cup when you order.

Idk what ruined it more the paper plates, the price or the attitude from the owner. One star is generous. Idk how there are so many five star reviews must be fake. Won’t be back.

I would not recommend dining at the sloppy waffle unless you are a fan of paying for disorganization and food that is hardly palletable.
As reflected by other reviews, the ordering process is unconventional. I ordered the chicken and waffle. I essentially paid 16 dollars for a couple bites of doughy raw waffle (that must be what they mean by sloppy). Not to mention the chicken patty was hardly palletable. Not to mention everything was served on paper plates. I mean seriously! This is a dine in restaurant! Not a picnic.

Menu prices are not the actual cost. Cashier tried to blame COVID, that hasn’t been acceptable in years. They also have a credit card surcharge, which is not in compliance with CT laws. Asked for a refund and the owner had to be called because they don’t know how to process refunds. Will be contacting the state regarding their surcharges.

Edit: Looks like people have been having the same pricing problem for a year. How are they that out of date? Absolutely disgusting.

Really disappointed with this place. $10 for a waffle the size of a half pancake. Toppings were smeared all over and served in a paper tray with regular silverware. $35 for 2 waffles and 2 cups of coffee is absolutely outrageous. Will not be back.

First time here and I will return. Next time, I’ll bring my daughters. I chose the Sloppy Waffle Breakfast meal and was satisfied. Home fries were seasoned well and I really enjoyed the waffle. Will explore them more when I return. The service really sold me! Everyone from the greeter, to the cashier & server were hospitable, attentive & sincere. The owner even came over to make sure I was comfortable. Thank you for this service & experience!

The food was okay. Honestly for the price they are charging it's not worth it. The waffles are good. The grilled chicken sandwich is regular. The homefries were not very good. The sloppy waffle meal was nothing special. The cafe con leche was horrible! Super watered down.Also if you use a card to pay you get charged extra but if you pay with cash you get a discount. Portions of the food were small.My overall rating of this place is a 2.

I got the chocolate lovers waffle and it was yummy. My son got the sloppy waffle and there was so much food. Only thing that he said was that the bigger pieces of home fries were a little hard, otherwise it was delicious.

Going to the sloppy waffle is always a blast. They have a great selection for brunch items. Getting into the restaurant can be a bit confusing, with waiting for tables and ordering being separate, but the staff are kind and want to help you figure it out. We got a the blueberry blast waffle and the very berry crepe. The waffle was incredible. I will definitely be ordering one again. The crepe was not great. It was crispy! But the fillings were delicious. Highly recommend for a great breakfast.

Always clean and friendly. This is my to-go spot. 4% extra charge if you use card which they tell you about when paying. You really get that small family owned vibe. And the food is amazing.

Parking: They have a parking area suitable for their size. It can get packed but always feels like there is just one more spot to fit in.
