Bar area is a nice place to relax. Food is great w variety of choices, including the whole dietary restriction universe. Service is top notch. Loved the hummus plate, chicken sandwich & nachos! Burgers were delish too.
The spinach and artichoke flatbread is just cheese on soggy toast with green flecks. After we were served, no one checked on us for refills until we were done eating.

The food was good however when ordering takeout the boxes used to contain the food traps the heat in and causes condensation inside the box making the food a little more soggy than intended so I’d recommend dining in at this establishment. Great food great service. (just dining in>takeout)

I have been here 4 different times. The 1st time, I had "appetizer" dinner with a friend. The menu looks fabulous, the service was great, food and drinks good. The next 3 times the food was just okay. The menu is great but the food is just, meh. This place seems to be best for a couple of drinks and maybe some apps.

This is my daughter's favorite restaurant! We often visit other Wood-n-Tap restaurants but we have the best experience at Newington's. The staff is super friendly and attentive. For starters I always go to the Point Judith Calamari; it never disappoints.Their seasonal dishes are always of great taste and value while their drinks are always on point. I love the Dragon fruit Sangria and the Bourbons.Parking: Close to other worth visiting stores.
The food was great. My steak was tender and juicy. I just wish it had more of that sauce on the side. The asparagus was a bit tough. Tasted like they were old (that's the only downside). Other wise the lamb burger was delicious. My spouse enjoyed it and said it was tender and flavorful. The calamari was delicious and tender. The Cajun flatbread was delicious as well. All in all we had a great experience. We went out as a family and they have a section specifically for family with kids so that was a plus. The overall service was great. The ambiance was great. Music wasn't too loud.
I used to hang out at the original Hartford Wood N Tap when it first opened. We'd frequently order Bar Bites and Beef Nachos. So it's appropriate that my first visit to this WNT in my Yelp review era was with my son and we ordered Beef Nachos and Bar Bites. This was a good visit. The inside of this WNT with its high ceilings, strands of lights, textured floor and stylish seating is cool. Service was friendly and efficient. The Beef nachos and small Bar Bites were both good. My son was a big fan of the salsa, which is probably as important as anything to me. There was plenty of food. We had leftovers of both. Solid 4 Star visit.

I usually have a great experience here but today was an exception. The place was busy so my water was never refilled. The server was pleasant enough, just over worked I guess. Now, my main reason for such a low score: Me, my wife and my daughter all ordered steak, all medium rare, we received one well done, one medium rare and one medium. My daughter ate her well done steak and I sent my medium back. I received a medium rare grissaly, fatty tough piece of meat that I am surprised qualified as a NY strip steak. The only part of the meal that I felt was acceptable were the brussel sprouts, they were exceptional. The atmosphere was nice, but I disliked the flimsy tan pleather chair that felt .... Well flimsy. Like I said, usually the food here is great, just not tonight.

Usually go there with sisters to meet my sister Peggy. Great food and great service. Steak is delicious as well as other items. Tater tots done perfectly but you can get mashed potatoes also. My brother in law gets a delivery from me! Bison burger!Vegetarian options: You can ask for suggestions.Parking: Easy and lots of parking in big parking lot.
