Absolutely love Toro Japanese & Chinese Cuisine in Newtown! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and portions are generous. Service is friendly and fast, perfect for sushi, Chinese classics, and hibachi.
Great spot for authentic Japanese, Chinese and hibachi dishes. Clean restaurant, nice atmosphere, and consistent delicious food every time we visit.

Disappointing.
Sticky tables, worn furniture, and a strange upstairs party that felt more like a family gathering than a restaurant.
Food didn’t deliver. The $40 “omakase” was basic, fried salmon roll, mostly salmon sashimi, nothing that felt like a real chef’s selection.
Specialty roll for my wife was just okay, not worth the price.
Tried it after moving to the area, we won’t be going back.
