We love Freund’s so much. We visit from the West Coast every year. It is the highlight of the start of our Berkshires adventure. We stock up with local fresh eggs straight from the farm, our favorite cheeses, fresh local produce, and on-site baked goods. When we arrived, Rachel (one of the owners) was putting out fresh apple cider donuts. We could smell them the minute we walked in! We highly recommend Freund’s.
Very cute establishment! Great environment with heavenly maple glazed doughnuts.
It was beautiful
So…you can see them in the background of their current profile pic..the TOMATOES!! These are THIER OWN TOMATOES! Obviously, here we sit, it’s June 19th, these have to be greenhouse tomatoes. Now, don’t get me wrong, nothin wrong with a greenhouse tomato, but, given the choice, I’d take a sun-ripened field tomato over a greenhouse tomato 8 days a week! These tomatoes are awesome! They cut and eat like field tomatoes! Tomatoes make me happy…and I thought I wasn’t going to be happy for another month or more…what a pleasant surprise!
Amazing place!!!
Very cool place. Can't wait to come back next month when more plants are available.
The BESTEST cider donuts I have ever had! Crunchy on the outside, soft and moist on the inside, just the right amount of sugar... not too sweet. I visited in the winter, it was snowing a little bit, but cannot wait to come back in the Spring and Summer when they will be offering plants and veggies. The Chicken Pot Pie is so delicious and there are just so many things to try, worth another visit!
They have the best Key Lime I have ever eaten. It's a family owned and operated business. All products are grown and or made on site! All employees are family and ALL are very helpful.
They have a great selection of gluten free pastas! I was very surprised!
A beautiful farm the view the smell the vibe is there! So natural I just love it 100% recommend going there ?

Beautiful plants , good prices
The Freund family are amazing members of their community who care so much for the people they serve and the land they care for! I can’t drive through East Canaan without stopping in!!
What a lovely family farm shop. The owner Theresa and her daughter Rachael took time to talk about the farm and made recommendations of other area farms we should visit. They have local meat and cheese, yummy cookies and pies and scones. The scones tasted (almost) just like mine, not dry at all. They also have a large selection of cute gift items. They make cool seed starter pots from cow manure to help reduce the amount of plastic that goes into the landfill and make use of something most farmers get rid of. This place is totally worth a visit!
Good selection & nice folks working. Lovely place & hope to return again soon
Didn’t appreciate being called greedy by the owner this morning (Thanksgiving) for asking to purchase two chocolate pies. I’m usually good about ordering my pies in advance, but my son was just diagnosed with an incurable autoimmune disease three weeks ago. So in between the multiple visits to CCMC, labs, MRI and iv infusions, ordering pies by the deadline slipped my mind. I’m sorry you’re frazzled, short handed and have had a busy three days, but I would trade you my last four weeks for those three days any day. Please be kind and don’t judge, you never know what someone else is going through.
