La Frontera Mexican Bar & Grill

We used the online ordering like we have done with this restaurant multiple times before. Our card was charged for the food we ordered and the food said it would be ready at a certain time. No one is at the restaurant. They aren’t answering the door. Most lights inside are off but the open sign is on. They are not answering the phone or messages sent to try and fix the situation.

First off, food was not too bad. Rice was bland and the Mexican Corn was okay. Only thing I would recommend to be honest was the tostones.Their main priority is definitely NOT hospitality. Our server was okay at first. While I was ordering, I originally had tacos and I changed my order and I guess she put both orders in but when it came out I told the lady that brought out the food that we didn’t order it, Our server then comes to our tables 2 minutes later to tell me I did order the tacos and I said no I switched it a different dish. Then she continues to go back n forth with me. This was to the point that i (the customer) stopped speaking just to not start an argument over something so small. Never have I’ve had a server go out of their way to try and start an issue with me. I myself am a server and that was definitely not professional at all and would never confront guests like that. Our server was Darianny. Probably won’t come back. Not implying that everyone was rude there but that was just so unnecessary.

I've ordered four times now, and shared this place with multiple friends. I'm a picky salsa person but this place knocks it out of the park. Best salsa around. So fresh with perfect acidity and spice. Tried at least 10 menu items and each was ome of the best I've had within 10 miles. Top of it's class.

Idk who manages this place but it doesn't seem that they do. I have had the unfortunate experience of dine in and take out. Dine in was lackluster service and an overall unfriendly vibe because we could not communicate. It was a fiasco because there wasn't soap in the bathroom. Yeah.

The food was good so I figured I would just do takeout next time. So I ordered takeout and arrived within my order ready window. I get there and they have no idea about my order. They ask to see proof of my order.

A few minutes go by and they say it will be 15 minutes, sorry.

My food came out in 15 and I think it will be the last time I step into this establishment again

The food was amazing! Especially the Birria, Fish Quesadilla and Fish tacos! The customer service was good but could’ve used more attention to customers. The food came pretty quickly and reasonable timing. Loved the Tres Leche and everything tasted so fresh (salsa and guacamole), the chips also seemed fresh and made original. Lovedddd the decor :)

This is our go to for takeout In Wallingford. Tacos are amazing. The bar area always seems lively!!

The bar never picks up after themselves always looks dirty outside and put food outside when they need it not good I got sick off there food they are pigs fly in kitchen and in food I saw it load music dedurubing the piece

Mexican fries, Oh my god, AMAZING. I was starving, and this hit the spot. Very colorful Mexican decor, very immersive, with a painting of Selena and other Mexican entertainers. Friendly staff too. Support this local restaurant!!

Vegetarian options: Probably can order anything without meat.

The tacos are very bad, the roast meat goes on the grill or on the comal but it is never fried with oil, the truth is, it is a disappointment and the price is exaggerated, a soda is 4 dollars

Ordered delivery and half of the order didn’t arrive.
