From the moment I walked in, it instantly brought me back to my childhood. The atmosphere is exactly how I remembered it classic, welcoming, and full of character. It’s rare to find a place that still holds onto that kind of nostalgia. The food was fantastic, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the whole experience just felt genuine. You can tell they take pride in what they do. If you’re looking for a fun blast-from-the-past kind of place, Nick’s is absolutely worth a visit. And shoutout to Bobby his daily TikTok jokes are awesome and just add to the whole experience!”

After accidentally misinterpreting the combo option as an opportunity to create a fully customized pizza, I was pleased to find the staff remarkably friendly and understanding when they clarified it only included all the meats and veggies . “Great little restaurant. I've been many times. This particular time I went with two of my sons and had breakfast. Food was top notch, as always. Service was even better! This place has a great staff and they are always very attentive and friendly. There is usually a bit of a wait to get in on the weekends, but that's because it is so good, it's well worth it.”

“I have been going to Aldo’s for many years and think it’s time I left a review. Service - always 10/10, can never do enough for you. Value for money - 10/10. Everything is reasonably priced and the quality is unreal. I’ve probably tried everything on the menu but today I went for the Sunday dinner. Why would you get a roast at an Italian you may wonder, well let me tell you, I am the biggest roast critique as I am pretty good at them myself, but Aldo’s roast is the reason you should get a roast at an Italian. Beef, pink and tender, Yorkshire, fluffy and crispy, mash, buttery and smooth, roasts, caramelised and fluffy, veg, seasoned to perfection, all topped off with a thick shiny gravy. Cannot wait to be back next week for another round. P.S always get the little meatballs as a starter as they are THE tastiest things in the world.”

“Good news, ownership has changed and I am so happy that Olde World continues to be the best New Haven style pizza in North Haven and Hamden. Moreover, when I put in a big order of 15 large pizzas the other day they were able to make, bake and have them ready when we needed them. They really came through. Everyone at my event loved the pizza, including some real pizza snobs.”

The waitress was very friendly, quick and responsive to all our requests

The salad was crispy and fresh no wilted lettuce. The bread was fresh fresh baked, and warmed with whipped butter

My steak was cooked perfectly and the grilled shrimp was served over a Spanish flavored rice was excellent

The mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery very nice. The shrimp or cooked perfectly not overcooked. They still had some snap to it when you bite into them please refer to the video.

My friend had the Parmesan crusted chicken breast, which was also fantastic when she let me have a bite. Also would be in the photos.

We will definitely be returning to this place and have visited this place before great experience all around for a busy Friday night. The Restaurant was at capacity with a quick 15 minute wait but we got right in with a party of two. We got a large booth and it was great.

“It's a been a few years since I last visited, but I still think about this place from time to time. Whenever I'd visit my friend in New Haven, we'd always come here to feast on tacos and other offerings like tortas. The tacos are great value: $8 for 4 tacos for most of the selections. Best of all, they have my favorite variety of taco: tacos de lengua. Granted that the tacos de lengua come at a bit of a premium compared to the other varieties, but I'm more than willing to pay the extra $2. The taco fillings were generous and the chips + pico de gallo + salsa verde that came with each order was fresh. I wish they also gave radishes with the taco orders, but that's a minor thing. Next time I'm in New Haven, I'd be sure to come back here to have those tacos again.”

“We stopped in at about 2pm to check this place out. We ordered the pretzel, wings and 4 drafts. The pretzel was good, the wings were great, nice and crispy. The grinder was overstuffed, the beers wete cold. Our only mistake was not knowing about happy hour. We will be back.”

I highly recommend the spare ribs here. My child always says that the ribs from this restaurant are the best they’ve ever had, and I completely agree. The fried rice and noodles are also excellent—everything we’ve tried has been consistently delicious.
What really made me happy was the service. The woman who takes orders remembered me, and when I made a mistake with my online order, she called to confirm the details. That personal touch truly meant a lot to me and made the experience even better.
We’ll be returning to Korea soon, and I will truly miss this place. I always recommend it to my friends whenever I can.”
