Best calzones in New Haven county! Sit in the bar, have one of their strong martinis and the delicious clams casino and before you know it the calzone will appear. The bar seems to have a regular local crowd of 60-somethings.
Food was good, if not always accurate. The restaurants decor is a little tired, and the staff seemed to be tired also. The menu could use a little livening up. Prices were on par with the quality and quantity

We live in town; this is our go-to place for Italian food. Whenever we bring anyone here for dinner, this is where they want to go next time we see them. We really enjoy lunches there, too. Prices are quite reasonable, excellent food, plenty of it, and genuinely welcoming service staff. The garlic knots in the bread basket are a major plus, too.
