“I ordered 2 subs and received the freshest cut cold cuts cut right in front of me and not like some other places that pre cut and you don’t know how old it is. Personnel were very friendly and made the sandwiches just the way we asked. Will return soon and often.“

“**Updated Review**So I have been to a few Subways over the past few weeks and they have definitely improved their quality. Went to the one here in North Haven again and the two guys working were excellent. Super friendly and energetic. Made 4 subs for the family and they were great. Not like the last experience I had there with Jen. Definitely would return when these guys were working again! I left my old review here because I was aggravated with the service I got from the woman Jen.I don’t understand this place. I ordered a sub and asked for a little more shredded cheese on the sub and I get smacked with $1.20 charge. Literally a tiny bit extra. Subway has really gone downhill in the last few years. Their bread has the texture of a sponge and never tastes fresh. With all the little mom and pop delis in this area I would choose them over Subway any day. The only reason I went here was because I had a bunch of tokens to redeem that were expiring from buying subs for other people. Definitely won’t be back to this or any Subway.“
“In 1965, Fred DeLuca borrowed $1,000 from his friend Peter Buck to start "Pete's Drive-In: Super Submarines" at 3851 Main Street in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and in the following year, they formed Doctor's Associates Inc. to oversee operations of the restaurants as the franchise expanded. The holding company derives its name from DeLuca's goal to earn enough from the business to pay tuition for medical school, as well as Buck's having a doctorate in physics. In 1968, the sandwich shop was renamed Subway. In 1974, a franchise operation began with a restaurant in Wallingford, Connecticut.
The first Subway on the West Coast was opened in Fresno, California, in 1978. The first Subway outside of North America opened in Bahrain in December 1984. The first Subway in Canada opened in St. John's in 1986. The first Subway in the United Kingdom opened in Brighton in 1996.
In 1989, Subway acquired Cajun Joe's, a Boston, Massachusetts-based chain which sold fried chicken and Cajun cuisine. The venture proved unsuccessful, and most were closed by the end of the 1990s.“

“Great bagel sandwhich. It can definitely get a little messy but that’s just because they put fresh ingredients on there, not some block of egg and a tiny squirt of sauce. Bacon was great quality, bagel was both crispy and soft at the same time. I’ve had better bagels in Jersey but not a better breakfast sandwhich. Banana bread was bomb too.“

“I’ve went to get a sandwich last night, and as I was leaving, I had an injury to my cheek, immediately upon entry, the employees offered me a Band-Aid before taking my order, which I really liked. And then they provided the impeccable service on top of having a nice conversation. My favorite jersey Mike’s interaction ever.“
