This is a great little unassuming cafe in a little shopping plaza that if you’re not looking will pass right by. So look! We live about a mile away from here so we’re lucky. They always have season specials and great homemade syrups for your lattes, not the run of the mill syrups most places seem to have.
They also have a freshly made selection of bakery items to go along with your coffee.
The staff is always super friendly and helpful. They can get a little busy in the morning and they have a small staff, but they’re also very efficient. Sometimes you have to wait for things that are made to order with care in a small business. That’s ok and it’s worth the wait.

Crossroads is one of my favorite coffee shops in CT. When I can I drive almost 30 minutes off my normal route to work to get a coffee here. Montana is so creative with her specials and everything is always fantastic. Much better than any chain and such a comfy little spot to sit in.

I first found out about crossroads after moving to the area last year and googling coffee shops, hoping to find my new go to weekend spot for a sweet treat. Now I come pretty much every week, often multiple times a week! Montana is a flavor combo genius whose drink ideas never fail to impress and are always amazing. The matcha is also great, and the baked goods are consistently tasty, even ones you may expect to be different than you imagine because they’re vegan, gluten free, etc. I ordered a Tropical Sunrise smoothie for my partner for the first time this past weekend and was blown away by how good it was! Everyone working behind the bar is super personable and friendly even when it’s clearly stressful or busy. They’re always willing to answer questions and give recommendations! In over a year of coming here almost every week, I’ve never had a bad experience at crossroads! I always bring folks visiting from out of town whenever possible, and I recommend it to folks regularly!
Maybe I’m a bit biased after working in the service industry back when I was a younger adult. But I worked at a commercial coffee shop in college and have nothing but horrible memories of how awful people could be to workers serving them. It’s beyond me how you could ever be rude to someone in the service industry, let alone someone who’s putting so much work in to deliver super unique, creative and delicious drinks/food. Keep up the amazing work y'all, take breaks whenever you need to recharge, and please know how appreciated you are by everyone who comes in for the first time or the 100th time and leaves impressed by what you’ve accomplished!

Drove 45 minutes and was not disappointed. We got an iced vanilla latte and the iced pumpkin latte.
Always a pleasant experience. Drinks are delicious and so are the pastries!

Coffee was not good. Neither was smoothie. “Don’t do disposable straws” yet one came with the smoothie.

Went with some friends impulsively and I did not expect how incredible the service and the experience would be! We each placed four different orders and they were all completed within 3 minutes! I got the Cortado (which came out way faster than I ever could have expected) and I was blown away by the presentation! It was so beautiful that I almost didn’t drink it just because of how gorgeous this thing was! The taste was also amazing and I chugged it down in like two seconds. The barista working absolutely popped off with making the latte art and I will definitely be returning here soon.

The passion brought to this place by the owner/staff is radiant. Definitely my favorite coffee shop in the New Haven area. Pastries are delicious and the quality of the coffee is consistent. Gay living room vibes. I feel at home here.
Best place in town - it’s so important to support your local businesses! I grew up in north haven and it was so special to have this when I moved back home
Owner is very funny, I like her relationship with her customers. She makes callbacks to prior conversations, showing she listened and remembered. I love her specials and that she makes everything herself, I am never bored with the menu. Crossroads is a huge supporter of local artists and hosts events.
I have been a loyal customer at Crossroads since they opened and can say without a doubt they are my FAVORITE coffee shop. The owner has the witty energy of an older sister and remembers all of her regulars names and favorite orders. The environment has never felt uncomfortable, I choose to do much of my studying here as it is a typically calm space. Owner is one of the hardest working individuals I have ever seen, making all of her baked goods by hand. My personal favorite of her treats is the chocolate chip 🍪
