I chose Soga because they had Toro on their menu. It was only available in a roll. That roll, while still delicious, did not satisfy my craving for toro or really deliver the same experience. They lost one star for the tempura. I prefer mine thinner sliced with a lighter coating. This was thick and heavily battered. Overall, the sashimi collection was decent and fresh.Will go again

Live in Northford and this is our go to sushi place. We always order online and pick up. They are always busy on the weekends and the wait can be an hour sometimes, but it's fresh and worth the wait! Staff is friendly and always hustling trying to get the to go orders out.

This sushi was so fresh and the cooked food was amazing! This place is hidden in a strip mall off of the interstate, but do not be fooled! It is outstanding food and service. The restaurant is small and few frills, but very clean. That, combined with the service and enjoyment of other customers, made a lovely lunch. They were busy at 2:30 in the afternoon.... Just that good.We had the BBQ squid, chicken yakatori, and The Mister loved his tempura and shrimp tom yum soup. Also had the naruto and fire kiss rolls. YUM!!!Parking: Easy to get in and out of.
The food was great, but I asked for a “side” of noodles and was given a meal of noodles for $12!!! Which was just about more than my lunch meal. I was not happy but the staff did not really care about my concern.

Soga sushi is located in a small shopping strip on Washington Avenue in North Haven. The restaurant was clean and well organized. The staff was somewhat friendly. There is plenty of accessible parking right in front of the restaurant. The display of seafood looked fresh and inviting, We decided to stop for a quick lunch while doing errands in the area. It may be because we had the lunch special but unfortunately neither the soup nor the sushi had much flavor.

Absolutely love this place. The lunch special is such an amazing price!!! It's unbelievable! The seafood is fresh. They pack the rolls with ingredients and don't skimp. It's not just rice, but actual ingredients. 3 rolls for $12 and comes with salad or soup. There's nothing better than that!
