I am so grateful for the Gourmet Galley Catering and their support of my small business.

I used Gourmet Galley for my 130 person wedding at Branford House in November of 2024. Everything was truly exceptional; the prompt and consistent communication, the private and group tastings we attended, the day of coordination, and the food that was served to our guests.

The staff went above and beyond every second of our wedding day. Our coordinator Sarah was a true hero as we navigated day-of challenges and was an obvious leader to the catering staff. We felt spoiled by our couple's attendant, Christie, who also paid close attention to my grandparents' experience. We even had our guest book polaroid camera break and a member of the catering staff went to her car and let us borrow hers for the rest of the night.

Our guests loved dinner (many clean plates), but they continue to rave about the small details like the late-night fries and ice cream sandwiches passed around the dance floor. I am so grateful to GG and Sarah- they are truly the best!

Wonderful service and delicious food

Gourmet Galley catered our dream wedding at the Rosecliff Mansion in Newport 3 weeks ago. Everything was amazing! Food, drinks, service – everything. Gourmet Galley eagerly incorporated all the personal touches we wanted, and worked wonderfully with the Preservation Society to make sure all their requirements were met. The bakery that Gourmet Galley works with (Zest Fresh Pastry) did a fantastic job with our wedding cake (red velvet in true 1920's style). Our guests raved about the food and service!!!! Sarah was our contact person at Gourmet Galley, and she also served as our wedding coordinator for the month leading up to and actually on the big day. She kept me sane and made sure everything flowed perfectly. Highly recommend.

The food is a bit spendy but the quality and flavor are well worth the price. Also try there cookies and brownies.

Food was phenomenal, service was not.

There was no one “big” thing they did that ruined our day by any means. With that said, given the amount of awards and recognition they receive as well as the prices they charge, they made far too many mistakes.

Despite being “experts” at our venue, they struggled to be efficient in set up, dinner service, etc. Hindsight is 20/20, but now I’m noticing a lack of reviews on the Knot and Zola, & I’m wondering if there’s a reason for that.

If I knew of a couple working with them or asking whether or not they should hire them, I would highly recommend hiring a very experienced wedding planner or day of coordinator to work along side GG. Our experience wasn’t so terrible that I’d warn people to stay away, but it was definitely “lack luster”.

Had a wonderful lunch (the West Coast) at GG in Niantic today. The service is quick and friendly and the atmosphere is top notch! Would definitely recommend!

GG catered my (180 person) wedding reception on 9/16/23. I am so grateful for there service and expertise. They anticipated every need. Pivoted multiple times for things like an increased guest list, windy weather which caused our original set up plans to change, etc - and all of this on an island with nothing but a footbridge to carry supplies over. They did so with grace and ease, and I was never worried. Tanya was the manager of my event and she was wonderful to work with, kind, knowledgeable. She helped me coordinate all the rentals that they have and also rentals for the tents, which was so helpful. I have nothing but good things to say about this wonderful company and everyone working it. Thank you!!Edit: I forgot to mention that the food was wonderful!! I'm still getting complements from weddings guests about the mushroom ravioli:) unfortunately no pics of food (yet) l, but here's one photo of the simple table set up that I asked for and it was perfect.

Wedding -Gourmet Galley is a truly unique and wonderful wedding vendor. We were lucky enough to get to work with them for our beautiful wedding on Aug 11, 2023. If you are having your dream day in the beautiful New England area that they service, I cannot recommend them highly enough. While GG provides many services, we worked with them specifically on our dining and main rentals - our main contact, Gina, worked closely with us all the way along (over a year, I think?) to provide us info in our back and forth emails, and to help craft an exact vision for what was perfect for our wedding day.Our tasting was a wonderful confirmation of all our plans and eased any worries or uncertainty we had once we got to sit down and experience their dining service and quality in-person. Highly recommend making sure you make time for that if you can.On the big day itself, GG services were above and beyond anything we would have expected. All elements of set up, tear down, layout, and timing went off without a hitch and were smoothly executed by the amazing staff. I cannot compliment the Gourmet Galley serving event staff enough - they were lovingly on-hand all night, with individual staff members going out of their way to make sure us (bride and groom) were catered to and taken care of even amidst all the business of greeting guests and being pulled around for photos. They really helped to make the evening special and feel thoroughly taken care of.Last, but not least - the quality of the food can’t go without mentioning. We chose the New England Paired Plate and Butternut Squash for our guests and likewise from the tasting, everything was perfect. We would never have found ourselves with catered dining like this back in Chicago where we are from - truly make your guests feel like you took them for fine restaurant dining for your wedding. The hors d'oeuvres were incredible and may have been our favorite things served that night - almost would have been worth the whole event just for them! And the dessert spread was everything you could imagine, beautifully laid out and presented platters of chocolates, and GG worked with local Zest Bakery to provide our cake - Zest also will get a perfect review from us.I cannot recommend Gourmet Galley enough. As long as they fit with your timeline and budget - they are an absolutely terrific choice that you will not regret to make your Wedding Day truely special.

I purchased the ready-made meals to go on a Friday after work for a quick dinner. I had the salmon and jasmine rice, the salmon was perfect, the rice was very al dente, almost not edible. The kids had the sesame chicken with rice, and their's was perfect. The side veggies were a great addition to the meal, broccoli, and sweet potatoes. However, they put the price of everything up there. So definitely not an economical choice. If you want great quality, it's definitely worth it. Especially if you're trying to impress someone and you have no cooking skills, lol.

So glad I discovered Gourmet Galley! We vacationed in Mystic CT. I did not want to spend my time cooking in an unfamiliar kitchen. Our order needed to be entirely gluten free. The team listened and delivered. Everything was delicious and beautifully seasoned! Great selection and value. Thank you GG. I will be a repeat customer.

Excellent place

We worked with Jen for my wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard and she was wonderful!! She was so responsive, kind and understanding. Having good food was important to us and Gourmet Galley did not disappoint. The options are unlimited and our guests were wowed! They also did a fabulous job setting up. It was exactly how I envisioned. I would definitely hire them again for an event in the future!
