Shunock River Brewery And River Cafe stands out because it is inclusive to everyone- no weird looks that I noticed to me or other segregated groups and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This place’s hours range from the earliest to latest dinners, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The food is very affordable and if reviewed, I have no doubt that Michelin would give it a “Bib Gourmand” badge. This place is well known for their pizza and for a good reason- pizza is made inside a historic brick column with many ingredients being local. All minors in my family were given delicious cookies upon entry. Not one employee there was even slightly bitter and half the employees were smiling even without guests around. Unique brewery made beer available on tap. Smoking guidelines are unclear and unenforced. Live music occurs twice a week. If you come here consider joining the “mug club” it is a subscription where you have a designated chilled mug that is easy to get to and you can get free beers!Food just as good as environment and all food is made after order.Summary: get your butt up and come here

Great selection of beer and ciders. Good pizza. Bartender is the best, knows his brews and very friendly yet polite. Live music definitely a bonus.

This is the cutest little place off the beaten path! The pizza is A+, the service is top notch and the bartender is a kindest person! He greeted every customer promptly, explained all the beers in great length and made wonderful recommendations. We will be back!

As always the pizzas are incredible. If you like thin crust pizza this is the place. Order at the bar then wait for the magic. A fun atmosphere and everybody has a smile

Stopped in after a fundraiser walk to grab some lunch. Ordered 2 pizzas and had the pineapple hard cider... YUM! I loved that their food was fresh and the service was impeccable. Doesn't hurt when your students, past and present, take great of you because you take/took great care of them! It's such a great place to unwind. Loved it!!

In the tiny mill village of North Stonington, you'll find a tiny restaurant with awesome brews and pies. It was worth the trip up from Mystic, and it won't be our last. "Good for Kids" says Yelp's guide, and we agree. The size of the bar pies, the available soda, and the restaurant staff offering our kid an super yummy chocolate chip cookie made this a fun trip for kids and adults alike. The brewery has a moderate selection on tap, including IPA and an Amber among the taps, plus a crisp rosé wine among the brews. If it's not pizza night they also have quesadillas, pretzels, and nachos. With scenery, friendly staff, lovely thin crust pie, and refreshing brews and wine, definitely expect the crowd and waiting crowd outside.

Honestly hadn't heard of this place. Used to drive by the location a lot since my friends folks live in the area. Anyways, the food, beer, atmosphere, and employees were A+. Tried a few of the beers on tap and ordered the soupy pizza the "house way" which was amazing. Highly suggest that if you haven't been, to go check it it. I'll definitely be back with friends in tow.Nate (I think) was amazing handling all the customers and was very quick in doing so.

YUM! Disclosure: I am not a beer drinker, so I can't attest to that particular portion of the menu. I do love hard cider, however. Currently on tap they have a caramel apple cider, which is rich and creamy tasting. They also have a strawberry rhubarb cider, which was light, bright, and surprisingly refreshing. Nate the bartender was charismatic, cheerful, and very knowledgeable about the products. They also offer wood fired pizza, with a myriad of topping choices. My kiddo wasn't feeling overly adventurous, so we went with the pepperoni. It was delicious, with a house made marinara, crispy crust, all without the grease. We sat out on the back porch area, under a sunshade, which was a perfect last hurrah of summer. It was very relaxing, listening to the bubbling brook below. Thank you for a lovely afternoon!
