Got a small Dave + hot oil, as well as a Tomato Pistachio Pesto. Both were delicious, and I could have eaten the Dave all in one go if I didn’t get two pies. Clean and well decorated place with attentive and quick service. Absolutely worth a visit!

I ordered a large pizza with a few toppings , it was $36 when we opened box it was totally burnt underneath and not good at all , we wont be back , not to mention of all places in Northford their large is smaller then local pizza places medium pizzas , After speaking to a few neighbors all had same experience of burned pizzas and same opnion of quality

A little gem in an unlikely spot. This restaurant is absolutely immaculate! Like, literally the cleanest restaurant I've ever eaten in. The service was way above par... friendly, attentive, informative. Our party of four ordered two different types of pizza: standard cheese and The Dave (a white pie with roasted chicken). Those were excellent, with the best part being the crust. It was the perfect balance of crispy and chewy. And here's a little pro tip for you: save room for dessert! The cannolis are next level.

A coworker recommended Angiollo's knowing what type of pizza I prefer. I've stopped three times so far, and I have to say it is right there with the best of them. Baking at very high temperatures allows the crust to stay chewy on the inside, which I prefer. Plain tomato pie is my go-to, so I can really get a taste for the crust and tomatoes. Top notch and one of my new favorites.

Very good pizza but very overpriced. Considering all the options to choose from in the New Haven area, the prices are not comparable. 3 large pizzas $85 and they are only 16” pizzas, I was sticker shocked when my wife told me what she paid.Won’t mention names but most places are 18” and a few dollars cheaper for novelty pies. $30 for a 16” spinach and chicken pie is ridiculous.

We found this place reviewed on the Pizzaholics Facebook page and the pictures and review for it excited us enough to give it a try. Zuppardi's in West Haven is our favorite and we really miss Tony Z's since they closed so we were hoping to find a nice close place so we don't have to drive into New Haven. We stopped in just past 4pm on Saturday and grabbed a table. The wait service was attentive and quick and they gave a decent beer selection. We ordered the Meat Lovers pie and it came out quickly and looked great. The meats included were pepperoni, meatball and bacon. Unfortunately, they didn't precook the bacon so when the pizza came out the bacon was under cooked and extremely greasy. The meatball was cut with huge pieces but would be better if crumbled or chopped more. The sauce was great, but the dough was undercooked. When we tried to eat the pizza it flopped and all the toppings slid off. In some places the dough was raw. The pieces we took home and had the next day were cooked more so they were better. The pizza probably should have been cooked longer, but then they risk burning the crust. I think if they could fix these issues, we'd try them again. Hopefully they get better.

After reading the 5 Star reviews I figured I'd give them a try. Unfortunately, the pizza is uninspiring and the location/ plaza is uninviting and dreary (as is the surrounding community). I suppose the 5 Stars are an attempt to assist a "local". Northford is known for being a tight knit community. It's not uncommon for "outsiders" to be treated poorly. As for the specific location being in a run down state of affairs, the locals are used to sub par facilities and substandard environment. They fit right in. Birds of a feather flock together. No Thank You, I'll pass.

Hidden gem in NORTHFORD. Our family always enjoys just a reg mozz pie. No other toppings. Hands down this pie- when right out of the oven (wood fire) is fantastic. The sauce. The cheese. The thinness to the char on the bottom. Perfect large Mozz pie! So glad we found this when driving from North Haven to Durham. So good!
