Yeah it is a cafe where you are captive in the aquarium, but we thought our food was very good considering we had low expectations. The clam chowder was delicious and our daughter enjoyed her Mac and cheese kids meal. Food is pricey because you’re stuck in the aquarium with little other options available but at least we felt it was decent.

In over 30 years from childhood to now adulthood I have never experienced such rude service by this cafe. , thankfully the aquarium is separate and has incredibly kind staff that understand you’re with toddlers/children and let you have your snack almost anywhere. Charmaine made it her mission to approach my child and I as he was snacking to tell us we had to leave followed by ”didn’t you read the signs everywhere”, no I’m sorry I was busy feeding the toddler and catching our breathe. I left feeling very uncomfortable from an environment I’ve always been happy to be in , cafe AND aquarium. Will be going back to aquarium, NEVER back to the cascade cafe.

Not sure what happened with the bad reviews but our food was really good and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. This isn't a 5 star restaurant nor does it claim to be, but much better than I expected for an aquarium cafe.

I ordered a milk with my friends and it took 40 minutes to get, they were confused when I asked if it was coming and I proceeded to wait even longer for a $4 milk.

Amusement parks, museums, zoos and aquariums are notorious for having insanely overpriced preheated un-tasty food. The Cascade Cafe was not nearly as bad as I was expecting when we entered. The selection was the same as any aquarium cafe, the food was somewhat better than I expected and the prices were not outrageous. Overall, this was a decent value for the money place to eat when visiting the Maritime Aquarium.
