I was in the neighborhood for a show at District last night. I needed a quick bite to eat before the show, like a slice of pizza or something. I walked in, noticed it was a sit-down place. I figured it'd likely take too long, but the owner quickly greeted me, and said they'd take care of me so I could get to the show on time. I had a salad, some wings, and a beer - I was out of there in less than 25 minutes with time to spare. Honestly, I was so impressed with the hospitality I'd give them 5 stars based on that alone! The salad and wings were great, and next time I'm in the area I will certainly try the pizza.

The beet pistachio salad and wine were out of this world. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his burger; said it was cooked just right and juicy. I can attest to the delicious fries, as I ate most of them 🤣. The kids gobbled up the wings and pizza. Super thin-crust, which suited us. Will be back.

Coals has become my go-to place—not just for myself, but also when I'm hosting my children's friends. The overall vibe is warm and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for both adults and kids. The food is consistently excellent—all the wings and pizzas are absolutely delicious. It's rare to find a place that checks every box, but Coals does just that with quality, flavor, and atmosphere. Highly recommend for family outings, casual get-togethers, or just a great meal any day of the week!
Some of the best pizza in Connecticut and the wings are incredible too. Don’t forget to try the Brussels sprouts. Love the ambiance of the place and ownership is so friendly!
My 7 year old son’s review: “This is the best pizza in Connecticut. I love that it’s grilled. Grilled pizza is better than oven pizza. I love the grilled slice it’s just thinner and I love it. My favorite pizza is the Dean Martin.”

I just had my baby shower at Coals and it was an incredible experience. From the pre-planning and coordination with Blanca, the manager, to the actual execution and day of, Blanca and her team blew it out of the park. They went above and beyond and made sure both myself and all our guests were comfortable and well cared for. Plus, the food was top notch and so delicious. People were commenting on how good everything was throughout the event and after! I'd recommend this venue to anyone looking for a great place to host an event or party. They really know how to make it special and Blanca is SO great to work with :)
