chicken was dry barely gave any sauce, not good i ordered pollo saltado 2/10

I been coming here for years and the quality has gone downhill. I bought my favorite and spent over 90 dollars on a take out order for my family. When I went to place my food in a paper bag in my car it ripped open because there sauce wasn’t properly secured. I been a customer for over 8 years mind you when I call and speak and speak to the manager she said she didn’t care because it was a a take out order and offered Measly five dollar discount what a smack in the face . This Norwalk location Doesn’t follow the same process like the Stanford location Location actually wraps up everything really secure in a plastic bag to prevent spillage. Be careful when buying takeout food . Even the Quality of the food gone downhill mind you the folks that work there aren’t even Happy working there you could feel the atmosphere very cold. I hope the owners of this store reads this message. I’m also taking this to the better business bureau and I will dispute my charge with my card company and I will make sure family and friends know about what a Lousy experience!

Used to rave about this place. Used to be our go-to place for a treat meal. All the low star reviews about the beef are accurate. I do not get beef here anymore and probably won’t order in the near future. For damn near $30 a plate, the quality is super disappointing. Some dishes are excellent like all the chaufas and chicken dishes, but others are just not it. Definitely stinks because it used to be so much better.

Parking is tight.

This place has went downhill! I used to love eating the lomo when I would come visit Norwalk, now the meat is not tender, even when you requested juicy And is not quality beef. I sat in the restaurant and they have a gnat infestation. I had to cover my food and drink with a napkin just to prevent gnat from flying on my food. I wish I would have just got up and left. Will not be eating here any more.

I arrived 40 minutes before closing and was told I couldn’t be seated. When I asked why, I was told it was because they were closing in 40 minutes. That explanation doesn’t make sense, especially since there is no clearly visible or readable signage indicating that seating closes at a specific time before the actual closing time. If there is a seating cutoff, it should be posted where customers can easily see it.

Have been coming here for the past 20 years. Several owners, several changes to menus. In 2025 the food is so so, not the best not the worst. Most recently we ordered Jalea and lomo saltado and both were 3/5. Room for improvement on flavor. The chicha wasn’t bad. The service was good. Other restaurants in town have much better flavor and food texture.

Beware! This happened TWICE, they will overcharge the tip. First was a TAKEOUT order, they put in a $10 tip without our knowledge! Second time was, after dining in I put in a $10 tip credit card. Couple of days later, I checked on my statement and boom! They changed the amount to $20!
Beware and take a photo of your receipt.
