I’ve been to this place before and their food is delicious, especially back when the hardworking women were still there. Unfortunately, I recently learned that 2 of them stopped working because she was never paid for weeks of work and was treated very unfairly by management. It’s sad to see employees being mistreated like that. I hope the owners take better care of their staff in the future, because the workers are what make this place great…

Stopped by here on my way to NY. Tacos are extremely delicious and the two beautiful ladies working the counter were friendly and accommodating! I’ll be back!

Oddly enough, place is decent when the owner is not around. Not good enough to have to deal with the attitude. Definitely -3 stars if it was an option.
Do better.

I love coming here, the owner is so nice and helpful every time I speak to her she is helpful and welcoming. I love their food and it’s a nice place to eat something on your lunch break.

I recently ordered breakfast to go and was very disappointed with what I received. The woman who took my order seemed annoyed by my presence. They didn't have any more coffee ready and when I asked she did but rolled her eyes... once again making me feel like I was bothering her again. Also, I paid $14.00 for a small portion of sausage and eggs (despite asking for no beans, they included them anyway)!

I went there this past week and I can see what people mean about the lady (owner?) being rude ?. I got there to pick up and the lady was cleaning/fixing a juice machine, and never addressed me or said ‘we’ll be right with you’ or anything. The other lady working there was way in the back and had to stop what she was doing to help me, only to have to ask the rude lady to charge me. Rude lady just grabbed my credit card, charged me, and didn’t say a word, not thank you, come again, have a nice day, nothing. I ordered two chicken picaditas. This restaurant makes the same mistake as many others, making picaditas or sopes very crunchy. There are many ways of cooking both types — picaditas, which tend to be round & sopes, typically more oval shape — but none are supposed to be crunchy at all. In Norwalk, Taqueria El Chino has by far the best sopes, and Tacodillas truck has the best huaraches, which is basically a giant sope. None are crunchy, all soft and hand-made. Galicia Deli also used mozzarella cheese (?) instead of the typical cotija cheese, fresco cheese or Oaxaca cheese. The green sauce they used actually has good flavor.I feel for the other lady working there, she was really nice and helpful when I placed the order and was attentive enough when she saw me waiting with no response from rude lady.I would usually try something else on the menu, but with this type of service, I’m just not coming back.

We order constantly from this place at work. Food is always really good. Their birria is one of my favorite things on the menu and the horchata.

Horrible experience. Terrible food and even worse hospitality! Are they crazy? You walk in and they straight up ignore you, with no one else in there. The lady that works at the registers doesn’t understand Spanish or English!I asked what some of the items were and she and the cooking lady seemed bothered that I had questions. I asked because maybe I wanted to order them!I finally ordered a tamal because that’s a safe bet, right? She didn’t ask if I wanted my food to stay or to go, I wanted to eat there. She wrapped everything to go, that’s fine but then she gave me no napkins, no fork, no knife. She went in the back and I stood there waiting for her. She saw me, ignored me, then finally decided to come out again and didn’t like it when I asked for freaking eating utensils. The tamal was too salty, it tasted rancid.I don’t think these people know the correlation between happy customers = more money.Go elsewhere.

Galicias Deli is a small little restaurant on a busy street. It's so small you might miss it as you pass by. But it is amazing! The food is homemade and delicious. The Pozole is amazing and loaded with meat. The prices are fair for the amount of food you get. The atmosphere is very laid back, there are 5 tables total. You go up to the counter see what their daily specials are or pick from the menu. The ladies behind the counter are friendly. I've been back to Galicias 5 times because it is just that good.

Parking: There's parking in the back of the restaurant.

The food is good but the service leaves something to be desired, they see you ready to order and they ignore you and serve you as if they were doing you a favor, I had personally heard several negative comments but I verified it for myself. Aside from the attention, the place is clean but not big.
