Nice yard outside to enjoy fresh air and đ sun
I was visiting family in town and came across this small, nice looking cafĂ© while out for a walk. From the outside, it looked inviting but the experience inside was quite the opposite. The moment I walked in, I was met with an uncomfortable, almost hostile energy from one of the staff a gentleman who made me feel like I didnât belong there. It wasnât just cold or indifferent service; it felt personal, like a silent âwhy are you here?â kind of judgment.
After placing and paying for my order, I watched as the next customer who looked very different from me was greeted with a warm, cheerful attitude, even jokes and laughter. The contrast was undeniable and deeply disheartening. The whole interaction left me with a strong impression of being looked down on, possibly due to race a subtle, but painfully familiar vibe that many know too well.
Itâs sad to experience something like this in what should be a welcoming community space. No one should have to question whether theyâre being judged for simply walking into a cafe
Perfect spot for a casual, family friendly stop. The menu has something for everyone. Cocktails are top notch. And the expert, caring service will make you feel instantly at ease.
The Turkey BLT was bland and the cream cheese salmon was grossly cheese only on top of that very rude service!
Got both the Quiche Lorraine and the Spinach Feta Quiche. Both were so fluffy and packed with flavor without being heavy or oily. Chef's kiss!
Plus the service was great, they saw we had our dog on a hot day and filled up a bowl of fresh water.
amazing place, very tasty coffee and delicious food, I recommend it to everyone!!! Recommended for everyone, thank you family and friends!!!
Better than Starbucks or Dunkin by far, great place
Had a coffee and some pastries that were good, but definitely wanna come back and try the breakfast, but whoever the guy working at the counter is to take your order is just so rude honestly made the experience awful. Asked about an item on the menu he just answered it comes on bread with like the worst attitude. Hopefully the next time I go is better.
My favorite coffee shop. The atmosphere is out of a Pinterest board, and the food is incredible. Donât sleep on the tartines. Coffee is top notch.
Nice location but frosty service. Pastries just ok, not too many options, overpriced coffee. Sad because the location is great but vibe not cozy and friendly.

Stopped by for lunch while waiting out a service appointment at the dealership 5 minute away. Very pleasant & tasty food. Cozy fireplace, nice people, classy atmosphere. Flat white was aces and the fig mascarpone tartine was excellent.

Had an exceptionally unfortunate experience with our little family of four and our family friend. The coffee took quite some time and was ok. The best part was the flower cart in front of the store. She was absolutely lovely.

Had an AWFUL experience at this coffee shop. I came with some family friends to grab hot chocolate for their little ones to hold in some OUTDOOR pictures. While we waited (10 minutes for their two hot chocolates when it wasnât even busy since we got there before opening), the kids were talking and laughing with eachother at a table so I took two- yes, TWO photos of them. The âmanagerâ was so rude in his choice of words and delivery, telling us to call ahead and we can rent out the place if we wanted to do photos? We werenât planning on doing photos in the store, I just so happened to capture two images of the kids living in the moment before we went outside on a walk, ON PUBLIC PROPERTY to take photos of the children bundled up. I hate that we even gave them business in buying their drinks, but we will be sure to never go back.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! The staff are absolutely AMAZING! Each and every single one of them, especially Oliver, Marianna, Maria, Ian, Juan, Johnny, the women in the kitchen, the event manager, the owner. They have the absolute best customer service and working atmosphere Iâve ever witnessed! ANYWHERE! Everyone has a smile on their faces, theyâre kind, extremely helpful. They are very hard workers and you can tell that they enjoy their jobs and their customers. I also overheard many customers talking about how wonderful the staff is as well. The croissants are amazing, their food looks like plates of art I saw some of the items other people were ordering and I was in awe. The community that comes here is amazing. The fall foliage is such a great accent to the already amazing and warm welcoming feeling you get by coming to this wonderful cafe. I would absolutely recommend!! It was a lovely experience.

Food was great, atmosphere was perfect, and the coffee was solid. But the best part of our experience was the barista / server, Oliver. Want to give him a special thank you for making our visit to Mercantile with our two dogs the most welcoming and stress- free one! Anytime he wasnât too busy behind the counter, he was giving our girls treats and making sure they had clean water on what was a very hot day. Oliverâs hospitality and kindness made our day, and gave us a new spot to go enjoy lunch with our dogs. Thank you, Oliver& Mercantile!
