Service was excellent! Maura and the team were very helpful and attentive. Menu was fresh and unique. We had several apps including tomato toast, cukes & melon with feta, tuna and venison tartares and ribs - all very tasty. Food and fun drinks were top notch. We had an early dinner and noise level was great for conversing. Very clean establishment and good vibe. Maybe a bit pricey but worth it. Recommend to give it a try.

We had a great dinner at Taproot. I would have given it 5 stars except for the dessert, olive oil cake, which was tough and grainy. However, the mussels and burger were excellent. Beet salad was delicious and sourdough bread was too.

Really good food, very creative. Nice to see such a menu locally! Service was top notch, very friendly and helpful. Restrooms should be updated, as they don't go along with the vibe of the rest of the place. Overall, one of the best restaurants I've been to in CT!

Absolutely must try all these dishes! Not one dish was a miss. Every dish had it’s own unique flavors reminiscent of Thais Street food.
We ordered the Pig Ear Appetizer, the Raw Sea trout, Pork Collar Satay, Pork Rendang, and Pandan Ice cream. Meats were melt in your mouth, full of flavors/spices, and presented with so much care.

Taproot delivered a tasty and fab dinner for before a movie. We had the pimento cheese spread to start, a burger and fries for my husband, and I enjoyed the grain bowl. Air conditioning level on a hot July evening was perfect, service was great and it has a nuce vibe. ??

As always, the Taibe brothers are providing excellent, local food. The food was delicious, the service helpful, and the wine list was uniquely selected. We decided to eat outside, so we had the full Sono on a Saturday night experience! I did not pick where we ate, and didn't even look inside the restaurant! I would dine in the restaurant next time.
Absolutely loved the many dishes we tried. All different and all bright and punchy and tasty and exciting. Not a dud in the bunch. Wait staff was fun and enthusiastic. Atmosphere was chill and relaxed. Can’t wait to go back.

Celebrated our anniversary at Nextdoor at Taproot. We had an excellent time and can't recommend it enough. The beer selection and wine selection are top notch. The menu is super thought out and totally delicious. Decor and service was also lovely, the only downside being we had a large group near us so it got loud at times.
Food and atmosphere were nice. Decent cold peanut sesame noodle bowl. Best one still remains to be at Kawa Ni in Westport. However, I was slightly disappointed that when I made the reservation, it was not made clear to me that we would be in the next door portion of the restaurant, and therefore would not have access to the main menu. We had a birthday party of eight people, so I was assumed that we were sat on that side of the restaurant, because the party size was large. However when we asked to be able to order from the regular menu, we were told no. I hoped that they would have been able to accommodate small requests, such as ordering a burger as we were not told about this limitation ahead of time. In addition, service was exceptionally slow. I had to ask multiple times for refills on drinks. We also brought a cake for the birthday and had to ask for it to be served. While not a negative, I did think it was unprofessional to not mention that there was 20% gratuity included. While I know this is common on parties of six or more, I feel that it is appreciated when weight staff mentions that it has already been included on the bill. This was not done.

What a gem. Truly delicious. So fun to try several small plates. Fried boiled eggs were a revelation. Pork collar satay was delicious as well. Yummy drinks. Great service and vibe.

I ordered the big plate scallops and was disappointed it only had three scallops two sunchokes cut in halves. They were delicious and cooked perfectly but was the size of a started. For $32 I would have liked it to have something else on the plate. Luckly, I shared entrees and had half of the Lamb patty which was tasty and filling. It came with some fries that were very good as well. My cocktail was made very well. I found the menu limited. The quality of the food was very good and staff was friendly and helpful so I may try it again.
