I regret to say that my recent experience at Oishi Sushi & Izakaya was disappointing. Despite placing orders regularly every other week, my pickup experience this time was marred by prolonged delays and disorganization.I was told my order would be ready in 15 minutes, it took over 50 minutes for it to be prepared. The lack of communication and management presence during this time was frustrating, leaving both myself and other customers waiting without any explanation or reassurance.While I appreciate the quality of their sushi, the consistently poor service detracts from the overall experience. I hope they can address these issues to provide a more satisfactory experience for their customers in the future.

Had a wonderful spontaneous dinner here. We came in before the dinner rush and were seated right away. Our server was very kind and attentive. He even let me take home some of their excellent soy sauce in a small cup. The food was fresh and delightful. We also ordered tea - their genmaicha was perfect on that cold winter day. I highly recommend this restaurant for a date night or special occasion. For us, it was our anniversary.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is step-free. There is a small foyer after the front door and then a second door to enter the waiting area/dining room.
Amazing sushi haven. Love the feel of the restaurant, the location. Love the ramen. Just a warm atmosphere with really fresh creative sushi.

I gave this place another try and it has improved. Service was very prompt and friendly although overbearing. Food and drink came out quickly. The food was beautifully presented but it was small and quality was inconsistent. The ginger and wasabi was dry, the brown rice meh. Fish was good. It's priced about right.2020 review:Very good sushi. But that's where the good ends. Our greeting was blasé. Our waiter rushed for our order before drinks came. After that, the quick turned to slow. Wife's food arrived 10-15 mins before mine and that was the last we heard from our waiter. The Omakase was small and unimpressive. We'll not return.

The sleek and modern interior adds to the overall experience. It's hands down the best sushi joint in Norwalk.
Went to the restaurant tonight. Placed our order . The apps were brought out , after 45 minutes they brought my husband's food came out. Sushi plate. After that we wait another 15 minutes pass and my food doesn't come out. I ask the waitress where is my food and she says I never put the order in. Im angry by now and want to leave. I left a minimal tip and shouldn't have even done that.

Service was amazing! Prices are high but we expected that and the have a great happy hour drink deal. Sushi was good, not the best we ever had for the price, but still very good. Definitely worth returning to.
